OK - it's snowing here. Nothing that's going to stick on the ground, but there IS white stuff in the air.

It's one of those Monday-Tuesday things since yesterday was a holiday.  I'm hoping this 4 day is not 8 days long as is often the case with holiday weeks.

Good morning, all.

Weird night.  Went to bed at a decent hour, decently sleepy, fell asleep just fine.  Woke from some dream at 3:30 AM, nothing bad, feeling comfortable in the bed, didn't feel the need to visit the facilities or anything else ..... but I couldn't fall back to sleep.  Got up anyway, walked around, checked outside for snow (nothing yet at that time, and we only got a slight dusting later in the morning), took a drink of water, went back to bed, and laid there, awake.  Eventually got little bits of sleep, but nothing solid.  And it was truly one of those nights/mornings when nothing was bothering me or worrying me or making me uncomfortable.  The damned sleep just wouldn't come.  Well, it will later, in the form of a nice nap.  But sheesh.

Coffee!

Good morning, all! I am very bored. This was a "what's there to get up for" kind of day, so i stayed in bed until 9:30, bathed, and dressed, and I'm pondering what to do besides vacuum.  I have  small bit of Moross work, and that will be an hour out of my life, at most.

I'm happy that Sandy's show went well and the notes were fun. Lanny's supposed to be in New Yrk this week, and I'm hoping we can get together.

Great notes to wake up to!  I do so love a well told, comprehensive story like that.

And now, a third album to look forward to?  Excellent news!

If you live in the Sacramento area, I will be guesting live on Mary Jane Popp's radio show today at about 10am (PT), AM 950 KAHI.  The show is also syndicated nationally, so check your local listings.

And what a wonderful note and quote from Robert Deutsch.  I well remember that name from Stereophile back in the day.  I was an Absolute Sound devotee (still have all my issues, from the first to when they went to their crappy "mainstream format" in the mid-1990s), but also read Stereophile and the others.  And The Perfect Vision -- got my complete set of those, too.  Though I'm very much into "today's" technology, but not in quite the same way, I should at least keep up with what these people are writing now.

Don't know the show, but will look for it.  Is it broadcast only, or available on the web?  (That's probably a ridiculous question nowadays!)

Nice thoughts from Mr Deutsch....with which I agree.

Loved reading all about the show and process in the notes.

I am not enough in the know about Cabaret to have a favorite....but I do love the BK Produced CD's of singers ...

Oh, and Jerry Lewis arrived in Indiana this morning with a light dusting of snow.

Glad you got to the  party DR ELMORE.  I was listening to some older CD's last night- since I couldn't sleep.  And I would be interested in your thoughts on the NEW GIRL IN TOWN score and orchestrations....

Watching Amour this morning. Heartbreaking. Superb. Love the pacing of the movie, in that it is driven by the characters' speed.
