I can't believe that I didn't notice this, but MBarnum, you're reached a major plateau/millstone/milestone!

(Okay, it actually happened on Friday, so I had to "adjust" the picture to show the special number, but hey, it really happened. ;) )

DR JRand, here is a new DVD release of which you may be interested: Mamie Van Doren and June Wilkerson in THE CANDIDATE (aka PARTY GIRLS FOR THE CANDIDATE).

My bed was for sale once. I had no takers, so I had to give it away.

Well, it seems that someone tried to blow up one of our government offices this morning (down towards DR Jane's part of the state).

Fortunately, the explosive malfunctioned and only started a small fire. Reports say it would have taken out the whole building if it had worked. Domestic terrorism is suspected.

It will be interesting to know who the perpatrator was angry with.

And I am home from the Richard Palmer birthday festivities at Artie's, which was quite wonderful. There were eight of us: Richard, Ginny, E&T DR Jose, who looks wonderful and seems to be having a great time with the Big Gay Ice Cream Truck? Co.? Store?, and DRs moi, ChasSmith, vixmom, FJL, and Ben. It was quite festive and photos were indeed taken.

Since I live a block from Artie's, I am the first to report back. Drs vixmom and ChasSmith have miles to go before they sleep, and I'm sure Drs Ben, FJL, and Ginny will be checking in soon.

Thanks, DR George!

I am going to have one of the pumpkin cookies that DR ChasSmith brought me. It was such a fun night!

We are also home from Artie's and, finally, the wireless in the apartment and our iPads are playing nicely together!

We loved PIPPIN and got some good tips about what to see - and what NOT to see.  We're going to try again tomorrow for TWELFTH NIGHT and then take it from there.

Thank you for all the nosebleed vibes - so far, so good.

DR Jane, the procedure you posted is pretty much it, except I required 20 minutes of steady pressure - twice at the hospital and once after we got home.

DR Jane, have you read the Nadia Stafford series by Kelley Armstrong? The first two books came out a while ago (the first book in 2007). But she just wrote the 3rd book and it is coming out this month.  She usually writes paranormal. But this series is crime (I loved it).

The first book is 99 cents until Nov 24th. This is the link for B&N. But it's the same price at amazon.

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/exit-strategy-kelley-armstrong/1100303368?ean=9780553903836&cm_mmc=AFFILIATES-_-Linkshare-_-tWxX/Rg9ax8-_-10:1&r=1

For 99 cents I'll give it a try-thanks.

I am really looking forward to book three. Although it has been so many years since I finished book 2. It's sort of odd to write two books and then wait 5 years for book 3.

Whew! What a day.

DR Ginny - so very very sorry that I couldn't make DH Richard's birthday party and HHW get together.

Glad that you got good medical attention, and a very Happy Birthday to DH Richard! Glad, also, that you got to enjoy Pippin.
