Wednesday morning greetings!  Today is Richard's birthday and we're looking forward to seeing PIPPIN afternoon before partying at Artie's.  Safe travels to DRs Vixmom and ChasSmith as they make their way into The City!

Happy Birthday to DH Richard!

Now, about yesterday:  we had a New York "first" that we didn't plan - a trip to the ER at Presbyterian Hospital.  We left the apt about noon, took the bus down to 42nd, and walked to the Drama Book Store.  From there we walked to the Belasco to try to get TWELFTH NIGHT tix.  It was almost our turn at the window when my nose began to bleed profusely and would not stop.  Richard went to get a taxi, whose driver picked the hospital and we arrived there about 2:45.  It was a zoo, but I was treated well by all the nurses and Drs. Bender and Caldwell.  We left there about 7 armed with a basin and lots of gauze, and things have finally calmed down.  Damn blood thinners!

Needless to say, we do not have TWELFTH NIGHT tickets and we missed Fr. Jake's ordination.

Better health vibes to DR Ginny!

And on that note (E-natural), I'm leaving work and going home.

Until later!

Gee, Ron, it has been ages since you have used that.  You must be getting excited about your upcoming vacation.

DR Ginny,  Is this basically what you were told to do?

Tilt your head forward and pinch the soft part of your nose (the nostrils) together just below the bony center part of your nose. Applying pressure helps stop the blood flow and the nosebleed will usually stop with 10 minutes of steady pressure — don't keep checking to see if the bleeding has stopped.
If you get a nosebleed, don't blow your nose. Doing so can cause additional nosebleeds. Also, don't tilt your head back. This common practice will cause blood to run into your throat. This can make you cough or choke, and if you swallow a lot of blood, you might begin vomiting.

Once you've stopped the initial nosebleed, don't lift heavy objects or do other activities that cause you to strain, and try not to blow your nose for 24 hours.

Looks like Richard is going to get stuck with all of the luggage!

I can't believe that I didn't notice this, but MBarnum, you're reached a major plateau/millstone/milestone!

(Okay, it actually happened on Friday, so I had to "adjust" the picture to show the special number, but hey, it really happened. ;) )

Congrats to Mr. Barnum!

Well, it seems that someone tried to blow up one of our government offices this morning (down towards DR Jane's part of the state).

Fortunately, the explosive malfunctioned and only started a small fire. Reports say it would have taken out the whole building if it had worked. Domestic terrorism is suspected.

It will be interesting to know who the perpatrator was angry with.

Maybe the guy to whom you gave your bed.

Here's the photo from Ginny's Facebook page! DR FJL is out of the photo! I believe he will be in the one from DR vixmom.

Looks like a great time.  I wish I could go to New York, but it doesn't look like a possibility.

It would be easier to sail around the world on a cruise ship, than it would be to spend a week in New York.  Come to think of it, it would probably be cheaper, too.

Back from rehearsal, which again was sans one actor who shouldn't really be missing these rehearsals - methinks when he returns tomorrow night that it will be backwards time instead of forwards.  I hope I'm wrong.  Tonight's run was very smooth and there's a real nice show here - once again I sang the missing actor's songs and even got up twice to do bits - what's interesting is because I know all the material by heart for many years, I interpret rather than try to remember the music and lyrics and where I'm going - it makes all the difference to that other cast members.  Anyway, hopefully our sick cast member has been drilling constantly at home - if not, we're in for a world of problems.
