DR Ben, I'd meant to ask you how the chili dogs were, but I believe you said they were quite good.  I love a chili dog now and then.  My favorite to date, taste-wise, are Nathan's, but chili dogs are a mess and it's much nicer to eat 'em on a plate.

What great photos from last night, of course we need to see more.

Nice review for Sandy B linked in the notes....BWW certainly does love its popups, doesn't it?

And a nice article on DR MBARNUM's celebration!  And congrats to him on his 20,000 posts.

Tonight I am going to see a rehearsal of THE WOMEN and hopefully pick up my script for ACHILLES/ACHILLES SON.....

The director of THE WOMEN asked if I had sheet music for "The Way You Look Tonight" in C or B flat.  The sheet music I have seems to be in E flat, but I do have a copy from a fake book that is in C....so I will take her that copy.

I had a good crowd at the Austin Network Mixer last night.  They asked some good questions, and I even sold a few books.

I think I need to order  THE CANDIDATE starring June & Mamie.....just the idea of those girls loose in Washington D.C. in 1964 is amusing....and the poster that DR MBARNUM posted yesterday makes it impossible to resist.

Everyone's food looked great.

DR Elmore, the potato pancakes/latkes, for my taste, were EXCELLENT.  Thank you for sharing!

The soups looked great.

DR Vixmom's cabbage roll looked yummy, and like it should keep a family fed for a week.

DH Richard's sandwich -- forgot to ask -- was that the pastrami, with cole slaw?  Whatever, it looked fantastic.

I think DR FJL said the blintzes were a little on the bland side?

Next weekend is the 3-day Wizard World Comic Con here in Austin.

I will be doing a panel discussion on Friday, then sitting and selling (I hope) books and DVDs for the rest of the weekend.

These events are exhausting...but fun.

Thank you to DRs Vixmom and ChasSmith for venturing into the city, to DRs Ben, Jose, and FJL for venturing uptown, and to DR Elmore for venturing around the corner last night!

I forgot to mention the nice review for Sandy! I'm very happy for her.

DR Ginny, last night was only my second venture out of doors after dark. DR ChasSmith was very kind to walk the 82nd Street block with me. And, before i forget,DR ChasSmith, those pumpkin cookies are really deepish! Thank you.

DR Ginny, it was a wonderful evening, and I'll do it any time.  Thank YOU!

I used to go into the city at the drop of a hat, and I need to get back to that.

I've taken care of my 30 minutes of Jerome Moross work for the day, added it to my next invoice, and I guess it's time to make the bed.

Rob Berman and my adopted son Joshie have offered me a spot of work at Encores!, so that was my really god news from yesterday.  I hope to begin it next week.

TOD:

I found this the other day and posted on my FB page.  It got to me.

Yes, Chas, I forgot to mention my pumpkin raisin cookies as well. They are very good and Anthony was very happy that I came home with half a container.

I went to see GRAVITY today and found it incredibly intense and nerve-wracking, as well as very emotional. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time; feeling as if I was adrift in space myself.

I enjoyed reading about last nights gathering.  DR FJL I'm sorry you were cut out of the photo.  I know how you feel as that happened to me at our 45th high school reunion.  You have to wonder how the photographer doesn't notice.

It was a terrific evening at Artie's, and beyond the joy of the several hours - a reminder of what HHW can mean and has meant over the years!

So true.

Although it wasn't mentioned, Fred asked to be cut out of the photo. He doesn't like having photos taken of him so he requested that when it was posted that he be removed.

New York HHW hospitality as I remember it.  DR Ben escorting DR Vixmom only instead of DR elmore escorting me, this time it was DR Chas escorting DR elmore.

Regrouping in the Marriott Marquis' 8th floor lounge after getting TWELFTH NIGHT tickets for tonight and MOTOWN for tomorrow night.  Soon we'll catch a #20 bus down to the West Village to visit DR Jose at the Big Gay Ice Cream Shop.

You also have Joyce Nizzari from WILD WOMEN OF WONGO in there, as well...although she doesn't recall being in the film.

I've regrouped a few times in the 8th floor lounge, myself.  It's a good place to regroup.

Such fun in NYC...makes me want to go and visit my HHW friends! I really do need to get over there again, and I want to get to meet DR ChasSmith! Everyone says he is the bomb!

And nice to see E & T DR JosePiano! Where was very E & T DR Rodzinski? Did he get an invite? I do miss the postings from those two.

When I win the lottery I am going to fly all HHW DRs in to NYC or LA for a huge party!
