Well, you've read the notes, the notes headed into previews, and now it is time for you to post until the previewing cows come home.

Hello, everyone! I shall be scarce around these parts for the next week, as I pack, load, and drive to Minnesota. Where I will have lots of ketchuping to do.

FROM YESTERDAY:

DR GINNY mentioned yesterday that there was a whole page of substation at the Motown musical. Even though there are no "stars" I still think that's pretty awful. When I used to go to Broadway on a regular basis before I moved to Florida with all the shows I saw I rarely saw any substations and if there were any they were usually in minor roles. A "star" was never out. Today's work ethic on Broadway stinks and I also believe that today's singers do not probably know how to use their voices properly. Sure they can hit all the "money" notes to make the audience go crazy and hoot and holler (Hate this with a passion) but to do this 8 times a week and twice on matinee days they blow out their voices.

As for Motown the directors and producers choice their opening night cast with care and to have to see a page full of second choices is a shame.

FROM YESTERDAY

TCB mentioned all the CLASSIC CHRISTMAS ALBUMS. I believe the reason why they are considered "CLASSIC" which in my opinion do not follow the Webster's dictionary definition is that the singers have recorded more than one Christmas album and the "CLASSIC" is usually the first one they recorded.

I prefer the Classic Streisand because it has her 60's sound before she started producing. He sound was more pure without the overdone studio sound.

NOW FOR SOME GOOD NEWS.

A Facebook friend share this and I would like to share this here as well,

On this link you will here six songs with Karen Carpenter singing with only a bass and drum. Basically singing acapella. What a beautiful voice she had that even with all the overdubs used in the final releases couldn't obscure.

The OLIVER! Blu-ray is stunning, in my opinion.  I will be very surprised if BK finds anything lacking.

Last night, in a Sherman Brothers mood, I watched THE BOYS.  I'd seen it once before, but really paid it close attention this time.  The history is rich, and it's got some wrenching moments, to be sure.

Has anybody heard or read anything about this new Russian film version of Faust that supposedly opened over the weekend?

Conditions are right for a tornado strike in Indiana this afternoon, so we shall wait and see.

I hope it is not a Sharknado.

Good morning, all!  I slept really badly last night; I don't know if it was the rush of adrenaline from laughing so much at the MIRNDA DVD or soe inner turmoil I haven't deciphered, but it was a looooong night of tossing, waking, fretting about sleep, ora combination, but the alarm rang at 8, and I decided to sleep in. At 9:30, i decided that wasn't going to happen and I am up, partially dressed, on my first cup of coffee, and fretting that I am almost out of milk.

DR TCB, yes, i was up past my bedtime. I turned off the lights around 12:15, which is two hours later than usual. I was reading BITCH IN A BONNET, and amusing myself to no end.

Today, no plans. I will watch some DVDs, putter about the apartment, and hope that my physical therapy referral is in tomorrow morning so that I can go there.
