DR Ginny, I can't believe your NY trip has come and gone so quickly! So sorry to hear about the unplanned trip to one of NY's more mundane sites, but I'm glad you still made it to TWELFTH NIGHT.

Fun to see photos from the NYC get-together, including the E&T Jose.

Thanks, DR Jeanne.  Our time in New York really did go fast.

I am surprised I even have a connection.  The phone company is coming in the morning, or sometime during the day.

The heating guy is also coming in the morning.  The temps began dropping this afternoon and began rising again shortly after Keith made an appointment.  We still want the heater guy here to be sure everything is working ok.

Fans of Margo Martindale--and I am one of those--should watch THE RICHES. She's marvelous there. I think the writers killed her off too soon in JUSTIFIED.

Last night I recalled Larry mentioning something about MIRANDA. I hadn't heard of it, but was looking for something new and since I choose most of my viewing based on comments here on HHW, I tried it. OMG!  Miranda HART! I LOVED her in CALL THE MIDWIFE. She was so warm and down to earth. Well, I am now a big fan of MIRANDA. I laughed so hard that not only were tears coming from my eyes, but it was almost hard to breathe! One of the reviews said that her comedy wasn't very clever, but it WAS funny. She does it so well. In less capable hands much of the physical comedy just wouldn't land. So, thank you, Larry, and thank you, HHW.

Oh, and I enjoy DR John G's barbeque excursions. But I could not do your job. Wouldn't even want to try. I am happy to hear about it from my sofa.

Well, it's time for me to leave work and go to my sister's.  She needs help with...something.  I forget what. ;)

Anyway, be back later!

I'm back from Sandy's show at the Signature Theatre.   She was great!  She sang almost all the songs from the new CD as well as "This Christmas" as the encore.

Sandy heaped lots of praise on BK!

After the show she was talking to some people.  I stood nearby waiting my turn.  She saw me out of the corner of her eye and put her hand out towards mine as she continued talking and in a moment or two introduced me to the people she had been talking to, her neighbors.    She's such a warm person!  I'm crazy about her!

Just watched Miss Esther Williams in "Texas Carnival." It's the dessert and she finds a place to swim. Go figure.

Daffy bit of nonsense with some fun Dorothy Fields lyrics.

When I was at Barnes and Noble today the guy helping me said there is now a Kindle app and downloaded it for me.  I haven't attempted to use it yet.

That is super exciting!
