Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

Nothing to report here.  Seeing the National Tour of Evita this evening in San Jose.  Looking forward to this very much.

Sad to hear about Spiderman closing as I really wanted to try and see it someday.  Since they say it will open in Las Vegas, I'll see it there.

I saw Jason when he was doing merch for Evita here in New York. I saw the show in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. I walked uptown and there was Jason. He had walked into work from Queens because the subway was out. We had a nice talk. Now he's on the road as a Merch King.

I think he has a blog where he tells stories from hell about selling merch.

FROM YESTERDAY

DR JOHN G said

Just watched Miss Esther Williams in "Texas Carnival." It's the dessert and she finds a place to swim. Go figure.

Daffy bit of nonsense with some fun Dorothy Fields lyrics.

Which dessert was it?  Apple Pie? Chocolate Cake? Creme Brûlée?
This is Texas. We eat pecan pie.

Tuesday.....

Well A/A will be set in current day San Antonio with the Alamo standing in for Troy and instead of being Greeks and Trojans we will all be members of warring drug cartels....so I guess it's cowboy hats & boots for us instead of togas....photos will be forthcoming.

Sometimes I forget what university theatre is all about.....

Great. Sounds just the San Antonio I live in.

Slow day at work, but I didn't feel up to do doing much. Hope I'm not coming down with a cold.

I liked it very much, but I missed the heavy drama of the Jacoby & Meyer and the local ambulance chasers in Manhattan. Not.

Then I had to answer e-mails and I began the third set of liner notes and did that for a while.

Then I finished about two-thirds of the liner notes.  Now I'm waiting for Sami and her mother to arrive - we'll have a work session and then eat, then it's rehearsal.

That is super exciting!

I think so, if it doesn't end up being a big hassle to use.  I will be watching for those special deals you sometimes mention. :)

Weekday trek vibes to DR Elmore!  I think you should write that comic opera you dreamed about...

Good lord.  What is going on up there, DR Jane??

I know but hopefully all is fixed.  A part needed replacing for the heater.  I think it was under some kind of warranty.

The phone & internet was repaired at a different location than the recent fix so hopefully our problems are solved.  When Keith mentioned the connection has been slow this repairman said it needs to be readjusted, which he did, and we have full speed again.

While Keith was home dealing with the repairmen and working outside I was having work done on my car.  I knew more time was required than my usual oil change as last time they said the transmission service needed doing.  Both should have taken 2 1/2 - 3 hours in total.  I also ended up needing a new battery which I was happy to do before the battery died, however, they were late getting initial work done and by the time they were ready to send it to the transmission dept it was lunch time.  I threw a bit of a fit over waiting an extra two or more hours.  As it was my car was there for 3 1/2 hours.

I've been promised a free detail next time but of course that will add at least a couple of hours to my total time.  We shall see.

Thank goodness there is the mall nearby though I can only stay in there for so long.  I did get two cute cap style hats at Coldwater Creek.

I just put some mail out for pick-up and it feels like winter here in SW Ohio - brrrr!

Do you mean that you put your mail in your mailbox and your mail carrier takes it?

We have little red flags we can put up on our boxes to let the mailman know we have outgoing mail.

In Los Angeles the mailman came right up to our house and dropped the mail in a slot that emptied into the house.  If we had outgoing mail we used the slot to hold the mail while half of it stuck outside of the slot.

I guess we are spoiled in the USA.
