Well, you've read the notes, the notes were dressed and previewed, and now it is time for you to post until the dressed cows come home.

Dear reader George mentioned ordering things from amazon.fr that were returned to amazon without being delivered.  This is a huge problem that they don't seem willing to address - packages that are shipped via standard mail somehow get diverted to the UK and then sent back to France.  It's ridiculous.  Occasionally things get through, but more often than not, they don't.  There's only one way around it and unfortunately that way costs more.  If you choose either of the global shipping options - really fast, or slightly less fast, you get your stuff without any problem.  The faster of the global shipping is hugely expensive, but the second fastest option is much less money and, for example, my Umbrellas of Cherbourg still arrived in two days.

I hadn't thought about that.  I selected the cheapest option, which is what I usually do.  I'll definitely keep this in mind if my order is returned.

It is early here, about 4:45 AM.  But not early enough to be first after BK.  :)

The once or twice I've ordered from Amazon France, there was no problem receiving the goods.  But it just happens that I hesitated and almost chose that middle option yesterday...and then didn't.  I really would like to have Umbrellas ASAP, too.  Merde!

I wonder if I can change it now.  I'll try.

Saturday morning greetings!  Early (noon, EST) Michigan kickoff today, so I'm up and about.  We're expecting somewhere between 17 and 21 here for Thanksgiving dinner, so I'd also better start getting this house in shape.

DR Jane, glad your goggles were in your home garage. I hate swimming without goggles.

Speaking of swimming, I am going to see my niece at her swim meet today. Supposedly this pool is hot, little parking, little seating. But hopefully if we go early we can get good seats.  For some reason I am nervous for her.

Good morning, all! At 10:00 last night, I was exhausted, and three hours later I was still awake. As a result, I did not get up when the alarm rang at 6:30, and slept in until 9. As a result, I will not be visiting Toyland today. I'll aim for tomorrow and spend today here finishing up the Moross bass part.

Last night, the director and cohort-in-crime on "Christmas Up The Holler" sent me mp3 files of the two songs written for the show. They were recorded last month as demos with David Lutken, Julie Foldesi who's in NEWSIES and Ben Hope, standby for the lead in ONCE.   I couldn't be at the session because of my health, but I am very pleased with the rough mixes.  I love the comedy number, but I think the ballad is really, really charming.

BK, did I miss reading how the show went with the invited audience?

Today the 50th Anniversary broadcast of Doctor Who is being broadcast and depending where you are in the world you will be seeing it at the same time as everyone else. So people in Australia will be seeing it tomorrow while we are seeing it today in North America.
