Vixmom is but a shadow of the person we supped with at Artie's only last week.

How the mighty fall.  Tsk.    :)

TAKE IT EASY AND GET WELL, VIXMOM!

The once or twice I've ordered from Amazon France, there was no problem receiving the goods.  But it just happens that I hesitated and almost chose that middle option yesterday...and then didn't.  I really would like to have Umbrellas ASAP, too.  Merde!

I wonder if I can change it now.  I'll try.

Mine is already "En préparation pour expédition," so it's too late for me to change it.

So was mine.  Or just about.  I could still have cancelled and re-entered the order, then I thought "oh the heck (HELL) with it."  For one thing, it'll probably get here in perfectly good time like they always do.  And if not, we do it again.  Big deal.  I just would have LOVED having it to watch, like, tomorrow!  :)

Interesting to see that a half century ago, we lost JFK; the Brits bore The Doctor and 007.  Quite the year then, wasn't it?

No sh kidding, man.  One of the two best years ever.  (1962 & 1963)

Or:  One of the five or so best years ever.  (1958-1963)

DR Jennifer it seems odd to me the swimmers don't compete against each other at the same time.  I'm glad you find it interesting since you are the one watching ;)

Now, I'm going to record to my DVD burner the "Doctor Who 50th Live Pre-Show" show.  I didn't get my DVD burner set up in time to record it to that as I was watching it.  I did get it recorded to my DVR, so there was no problem there.  I do have to say that the pre-show show was not too exciting or interesting, but I'll keep it. ::)

Did anyone else watch it?  It's going to be rebroadcast quite a bit, I'm sure.

thought it was a crashing bore.

But the 50th Anniversary special was very well done. I also like there were no commercial breaks.

Then I sort of watch the new TV series Atlantis.

It's sort of like the Adventures of Hercules with Kevin Sarbo (sp?)

There was Jason (as in Jason and the Argonauts perhaps?) there was Pythagoras (the triangle guy) and Hercules portrayed as an overweight, boozing, egotistical wannabe hero.

I saw Cillaliz's commercial(s). Very well done, Cilla! Brief, professional, and direct. YOu sound VERY fluent in Spanish.

Thanks Jeanne!

It is the late TCB, having just crawled home after a seven and a half rehearsal, checking in with all of my HHW family.  If I manage to get up before it is time to leave for rehearsal, I will try to post.  If not, I will check in on Monday.  Or, who knows, we may actually get home early tomorrow evening.

I'm feeling quiet today.  A dog I loved died from bloat last night :(

Oh my! I'm so sorry to hear that

TOD: There are too many dishes to name.

Could it be a whole fish cooked with more garlic than could ward off a whole army of Draculas?

This morning it was only 40 degrees in the laundry room.  I had already put plastic on the window and door so I spent the day trying to seal it up even better.  We'll see if it worked

You know, if we were down (heaven forbid) my inbox would be filled with people saying they couldn't get on.  But we're not down (thank heaven) and no one can be bothered to be here?  Wow.

I'm back.  I went to my parents' house for dinner (vegan stir fry...it was okay) and we played Scrabble.  I lost...no surprise there. ;)

That's about the high here today. I was not happy. But I'm glad I didn't go to the Panhandle, because that's where Willie Nelson's band's bus had an accident that was said to have been caused by ice. Yuck.

Brisket tacos heaped high with cabbage, pico de gallo and green chile ranch dressing rates high.

Oh it was only about 15 today outside.  My laundry room is an add on room and it isn't insulated very well. So every year I battle with keeping it warm.  It's also not on the main furnace but has a small heater built into a cabinet.  I'm thinking about checking on getting a better heater out there, but I can't really afford that right now

I ate earlier today not knowing that my parents were expecting me for dinner. ::) So, I really didn't eat too much.  When I left after losing at Scrabble, I actually went to a local IHOP and had quesadillas and a layered crepe cake.  It was all pretty good and not too much. :)

I did order another new watch on sale on Amazon.  Its really cool.  I love watches and decided to wrap it and  stick it under the tree with my name on it and not say anything and then act surprised.  I don't usually have as many gifts to unwrap as the others, which is fine, I don't have kids an grandkids, but I thought it might be fun to just stick a couple under the tree from the cats.

Yes, it's possible, but it hasn't happened since I've been here.
