Happy to hear the intermission might be going back in.

I love an intermission.  I much prefer going to the theatre when there is an intermission.

Thanks for the congratulations for my niece.  IT's funny that I was at the meet and yet the results can still be surprising.  Unless you are timing the races (which many parents are doing) you don't really know what place you'll get.  I saw at least 5 girls that I knew were faster than my niece in the 4 lengths individual medley (fly, back, breast, free). So i figured she could not have done better than 10-15th place. What a nice surprise to see she finished 6th. It's actually shocking. 5 of the top 6 were from her pool (and 2 of them are swimming with the 9-10s but just haven't turned 9 yet).

It is still absolutely freezing here. :(

And there is a lot of snow supposedly scheduled for the next week. :(

We haven't had snow yet.

Yesterday's rehearsal was another marathon.  Not quite seven and a half hours, but pretty darn close.

Hello, fellow Dear Readers. I have missed you all! I do not yet have wifi or the computer set up, but wanted.to let all of you know that I (and all my stuff) arived safe & sound in St. Paul - move-in day on Saturday was a balmy 7 degrees. The neighborhood, house, and apartment are beautiful, and lovelier than I ever could have dreamed of.  I know that we will be very happy here. Looking forward to being back with you regularly very shortly. Thanks for all your support and good wishes, and see you all very soon!

How nice to hear from Slim Jim!  I hope he is back on a regular basis very soon.

Loved reading over the weekend about DR TCB's triumphant return to the stage and this morning about DR Singdaw's successful move to Minnesota!

Thanks Ginny.

I woke up again at five.  I fed Nicky, but then just didn't feel sleepy enough to go back to bed.  Now that I have had two cups of coffee, I feel ready to go back to bed, but should probably hold off for a while.

I like MOST of Woody Allen's films....but I especially like:

Bullets Over Broadway
Take the Money and Run.....  "I have a gub...."  "No I have a gun...."  "No it says gub....."
Crimes & Misdemeanors ...  especially Angelica Huston and Martin Landau

I must say that the weather here in Salem, Oregon, 97301 has been very nice...and unusual...sunny every day, and cold and crisp with no rain in sight.

This time of year the weather is usually quite soggy.

Watched several more episodes of the old tv show JULIA.

Some episodes were better than others, but the good ones are quite enjoyable. And no laugh track...I guess they added a laugh track for syndication, but I prefer this show without it and it is nice that they are airing it minus the laugh track.

I'm still not sure an intermission will work with such a short show, but I'm sure willing to give it a try.  I'll do one of our two rehearsals with it and see how it feels.  Having it solves one definite thing, which is the placement of one song in the non-intermission version - it would be better earlier and has never felt right to me where it is, but sans intermission something has to go between what would have been the end of the act and the beginning of the next act and what that something is is tricky.

My DVD player died today during the middle of "A Touch of Class," which is a really charrming reminder of how good Glenda Jackson was in her prime. Guess it's time to upgrade to that Blu-Ray player.

Good luck DR GINNY.  I found banking and shopping this morning to be mad crazy!!!

Thanks, DR JRand!  Kroger wasn't bad at all, but I'm glad it's done.  It will probably only get worse as we get closer to Thursday.  The only shopping we have to do between now and then is picking up 2 fresh turkeys at the butcher's and delivering one of them to Mary Linda.  She's going to cook one with gluten-free stuffing and I'll do the other with regular.

And I am home from physical therapy, which was not crowded beyond belief but will be on Wednesday, and a stop at the bank for some funds and an investment inquiry.

This whole nonsense with my brothers and that damned property has really screwed up things; I have no idea on how to proceed.  What i would like to do is sue my brothers for hindering rather than promoting its sale and my dad's attorney for letting him sign it over to us on his deathbed, knowing that we'd end up having to pay inheritance taxes on it, no matter what. In my current financial mess, I am in a murderous frame of mind over the whole megillah.
