We've been busy rearranging some furniture to accommodate the 17 (or 20) people we're expecting for Thanksgiving dinner.  I also prepared a nice dinner for us of meat loaf, baked potatoes, and green beans.

I just fainted.

I'm not sure we even had that many when I was but a wee lad and we all went to grandmother's house.

I had an appointment in town and followed it with a long walk in the park.  I was looking down and almost walked into 4 deer that were on the path.  Three of them were still on the young side.  I was sooooo close to them and they were sooooo cute.  They were munching away on bushes and alternately looking up at me with their sweet faces.

Driving home up our road a hawk flew in front of my car and then along side it. :)

Yesterday while walking we probably saw the same hawk as I was close to where we watched it fly over our heads from tree to tree.

Our crowd is all adults.  This year is a 2-table extravaganza.

Now if only we might see the Black Bear that keeps leaving scat on our lawn.  I only want to see it from the safety of our house, still I would like to see it.

My DVD of Barbra: Back to Brooklyn arrived.   The show is also going to be on PBS this Friday.  It's really great, but I do wish they had recorded the Cologne or Berlin concerts.

Thanks DR Ginny.  I think sales were down some, not sure.  I'm curious exactly what changes this will lead to.

;D

Ashland has no shortage of deer and they are very relaxed with people around, especially in the park.

They hang out in my yard too much.  They've destroyed 2 trees and I about had a cow when they started in on one of my apple trees....but they are nice to look at

Today I noticed 4 squirrel nests in the trees above my house.  I don't even feed them, lol.

It's a really strange year.  We usually have a Thanksgiving storm and we're supposed to have great weather.  I almost have good weather guilt.....almost.

I have not at the good fortune to visit.  We once almost moved there but stayed put in New Jersey and then moved to Massachusetts.
