I'm very lucky that when my left foot slipped on ice today my right foot was firmly planted on solid ground.

I was just blowing leaves today, and the grass kept crunching under my feet.

My home town is about a three hour drive from Minneapolis/St. Paul.   We always went there to shop etc when I was growing up.  I'm about 5+ hours from there now.  I used to use my Northwest airlines miles and fly there free from Sioux City, but our airport board is headed by a guy with a condo in Chicago, so now we only have American Airlines and they only fly to Chicago.  A little tougher to get to MSP

2 birds, 10-12 pounds each.  Mary Linda is cooking one with gluten-free stuffing and we're doing one with regular.  The other guests are bringing most of the sides.

It did warm up to 52 this afternoon but the shady areas still had patches of ice.  I was walking on the sidewalk along the park and looking at a dog instead of the ground.

The ponds in the park also had pieces of ice on the top layer.

Could not get a new DVD player at Costco, because I have an old-fashioned tube TV and these newfangled machines aren't compatible without some connection. I have a 20-year-old set that is in fine condition, but I have a feeling, I'm going to have to get a whole new setup, TV, DVD player and sound system. I'm going to wait until Black Friday sales are announced and may have to buy things bit by bit.

Had a very fun second rehearsal and then had some Mexican food for my meal o' the day - ate too much, but since it's the only meal, I'm probably okay.

Can't you buy some sort of adaptor to make it work on your old tv?
