Happy Thanksgiving Eve, everyone!!

BK, I have watched four episodes of the new season of Downton, and stalled after that, mostly because of being busy. I don't have a screener, but I have a European site where I can find them online. I love that.

I went to see the new Brian Dennehy play at the Taper last night with tix to the first preview, and was greeted by the fateful sign: "The role of.... normally played by Brian Dennehy...." GAAAAH! His understudy was on for the first preview. And I went specifically to see him. My date and I decided to pass, and sat and had coffee to catch up with each other instead. Ah, well, best laid plans. Hopefully I can snag another ticket for later in the run.

Have a wonderful holiday!! And in the words of a friend, who reminded me it's also the first day of Hannukah/Chanukah, "Gobble-Tov!"

My visit to Mom was delayed about an hour because on my way out there my CHECK ENGINE light came on. Fortunately, I was right around the corner from our service place. They did a diagnostic and found several things that need attention, so my car is staying there until they can get the necessary parts on Friday. Bye-bye, new kitchen countertops...

They gave me a ride home, where I proceeded in Richard's car.

Just watched the Sound of Music preview for next week's live broadcast. I'm not convinced that Carrie Underwood will be good in the role, but I'm still looking forward to the show. The rest of the cast sounds great.
