Just watched the Sound of Music preview for next week's live broadcast.  I'm not convinced that Carrie Underwood will be good in the role, but I'm still looking forward to the show.   The rest of the cast sounds great.

I was wondering.  How is Stephen Moyer as the Captain?

Too young, according to Richard.  Toward the end of the preview, it looked like they were aging him with make-up.

Cillaliz: Pecan pie is easy. Just remember that it will be slightly gooey at the center when it's done. That's OK. It won't get completely solid until it cools.

Hmmm I finished my two kinds of apple sauce and the apple crisp.

Two kinds of apple sauce?

Mom doesn't like I with cinnamon and nutmeg and I think that's the best. So I made just apples and sugar in one and one with the nutmeg and cinnamon.

I am very irritated with my brother at the moment.  He likes to buy aquarium stuff on craigslist and then has me pick them up.  I do not like to do this and have been very frank with him about it.  So I agreed this time to do it.  The aquarium wasn't ready when I got to the house.  The guy picked it up and dumped it outside then put it in my car.  My car smells like fish.  I wasted over 3 hours on this stupid errand and I will not do it again.

There is now snow all over the ground. :(

But it seems like a lot less than was predicted.

I hope that my toe (the one i stubbed) can fit comfortably into my new winter boots.

Now they just moved the dinner up an hour.  If I leave at exactly the moment I said I would and if I have no traffic, I'll get there in time to immediately sit down and eat. And why did they do that? So my niece and her SO can get to Walmart for the first minutes of black Friday. Oh Puhleese.  They'll have 3 hours to eat dinner and get there and they can't wait another half hour so I can get there and catch my breath before sitting down to eat. Every year the plans we've all made and had for a month change at the last minute and it's always in a way that is more difficult for me.  I am SO tired of it.  AND I get to drive the whole way with a stinky aquarium in my car.  I am not happy

I felt the same way.  I though she sounded fine, but I just don't see her as Maria

I'm sorry, Cillaliz. That's very unfair of them.

I think I'll just take my time tomorrow and get there when I get there.   The upside to all this is that I won't have to help with anything......no, they'll all tell me I get to do the dishes because I wasn't there to help....this is not sounding like a good day.  I want to stay home and watch the dog show with my cats

Thank you.  I do know they aren't trying to be mean, it's just all about them.   I do want to see Gabe.  I haven't seen him for over a year and I haven't met Adam's new girlfriend.   I have just decided that the only way I'm going to do dishes is if mom gets stuck doing them.  Otherwise I'm going to play with Gabe

Can you believe right after I told my brother how ticked off I was about the stinky fish tank and how I'm never going to do that for him again he said "Oh, can I ask you a favor?"  I will admit it made me laugh.  I told him that it wasn't a really good time to ask me to do anything for him.  Good grief.   He changed his mind about it after we discussed it, but good grief.

Thanks Larry.  It's always been this way so I don't know why I let it get to me.  Inhale.....Exhale.... I can make this work.  I'm just still angry about the 3 hours of my life I lost over a fishy stink tank.

The good news is, we had a very busy morning at work and all the people who we really needed to talk to before taking a few days off either called us or were home when we called them.  SO....I really don't have to think about work until Monday.

Too young, according to Richard.  Toward the end of the preview, it looked like they were aging him with make-up.

Interesting.  According to their IMDb listings, Stephen Moyer is 44 now and Christopher Plummer was 36 when he made the movie in 1965.

Funny, I thought the same thing.  He looks no where near 44!   I have to admit I had no idea who he was.

End of my annual my family drives me crazy holiday rant.  I've been thinking about seeing Gabe tomorrow.   I haven't seen him in over a year and spending time with him makes all the rest of it seem pretty trivial.
