Well, now that I'm up and caught up, it's time for me to leave.  Today, I'm working concessions for Sing-a-Long-a GREASE!  I'd heard that it's going to be pretty full, so that'll make it fun.  But I don't know if there will be an intermission.  If not, it'll be a very easy concession session. ;) Either way, I've never seen GREASE on the big screen.  Can't wait for that!

Have a good day, all!

I am being very intentional today about sitting still with my feet up.  It's harder than it looks.

I would have a hard time doing that all day.  Is your doctor's appointment tomorrow?

Not 'til Thursday, DR Cillaliz.  I'm going for a blood test in the morning so that he'll have current info when I see him.

I just thought after the last few weeks I needed a do-nothing day.

A Facebook friend in St Louis just posted that he's had no problems with the Obamacare website recently, so if anyone's needing insurance . . .

This is my public service announcement for the day.

DR George, I have no memory of an intermission at the first showings of GREASE in the 1970s. CAMELOT and FINIAN'S RAINBOW, I remember.

Thank you all for the vibes -  Ben your advice was sound - a day at church helped immeasurably - I am so angry for the papers for posting all those horrid details-

The train was a commuter train, so I doubt that's what Joshie was on. I'll be happier once I hear from him.

That's good, still Joshie be safe vibes!!!

Please let us know when you hear from him.

Yes, please, DR Elmore.

Ditto.

church was very spiritually fulfilling today  and after the second service we have crafts and carols which was great fun.  The I collected  my elderly parishioner and Vixdad and went over to the Roadhouse for lunch  (which was delicious)

DR CILLA LIZ I a USB turntable from Audio Technica that has worked well for quite awhile.  It's very similar to to one that DR BEN linked.

Nowadays they do have a turntable that records directly to a CD from the vinyl.  Of course you would probably still want to use some kind of software to clean up the audio....but the initial recording might be simpler.  This one is kind of expensive, but I imagine you can find the technology for less in an electronics store near you.

Congrats to TCB, a second night wonder!  :)

I sort of hate opening nights.  Not at the time they're happening (unless I do something really terrible), but often in hindsight.  Whatever happens feels so much worse than it would in subsequent performances.  Shit can -- and will -- happen at any time, but we place such expectation on openings that any misstep at all is horribly magnified.

I did get out of my chair long enough to fix Richard and me our traditional after-Thanksgiving turkey and bacon sandwiches.  After the holiday dinner and our football party there was just enough turkey for each of us to have a sandwich.  It was delicious!

Last night, my performance was where it should have been on Opening Night, but wasn't.  In fact, the entire second show seemed super charged.  No second night slump from anyone.

Yeah! Good news.

I am super excited. My library got Season 1 of Major Crimes. I wasn't sure that they would buy it since they don't have the Closer. But whoever ordered it probably only saw that it was season 1 and maybe didn't realize it was a spin-off series. Either way I cannot wait to see these characters again.
