Oy!  Sorry not to be there to help with that crap today, DR Elmore!

What is frustrating is that the people I work with go off on their own tangents and forget I'm around cleaning up things at Toyland until they come back to work and want to take control. It's not always easy here.

Don 't get too frazzled, DR Elmore. You have done a good deed today. One of your posts above reminded me that I have not yet paid my rent.  :o

If it weren't for you, I might have been tossed out onto the streets.

Thanks for the link to the story DR CILLA LIZ....keep us posted....  And I agree that it sounds like your friend has a very good case.

It's too bad that 40 doesn't realize how quickly 60 will come....but the ambitious lady is setting herself up for a precipitous fall....

DR ELMORE - I hate it when my media tray is empty.....

My question for ASK BK Day.

I was watching the Partridge Family clip that you posted on FB last Thursday.....particularly your scene with Miss Shirley Jones.....and your back and forth conversation....

Was there a Master Shot Done for that scene or was it all single shots and over the shoulder for you both?

From DR TCB:
Quote
Ironically, I believe the other good review "the nuanced performance" or whatever it said was written following the opening night performance.

I've been curious which shows these reviewers saw.  I also suspect, and now it has been proven, you were too hard on yourself opening night ;)

The front porch is festooned with lighted evergreen garlands (artificial) and red bows and each front window has a candle light.  Resting a bit before I unload the dishwasher.  When Richard gets home from cardiac rehab, we're going to get out the Christmas dishes.  Lunch on paper plates today!

My surprise premium for contributing to BC/EFA after PIPPIN was a copy of this year's CAROLS FOR A CURE.  NEWSIES' contribution is "Take Me to Manhattan in December," written and performed by cast member Julie Foldesi.  It made me smile when I first heard it in the car yesterday and it made Richard smile when I played it for him as soon as I got home.

I was horrified to find an application in the mail for AARP, yesterday.

My copy of Mamie Van Doren's movie THE CANDIDATE has still not arrived. Maybe today.

In other Mamie Van Doren news, the next set from MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATRE will contain Mamie's film UNTAMED YOUTH! Have seen the movie, but never the MST version.

Also, it will have the MST version of THE THING THAT COULDN'T DIE...one of my all time favorite MST episodes!

And with that, how about a Mamie Van Doren/Conway Twitty page two dance!

Definitely a master and then the close-ups.

Julie Foldesi is the singer on the new CHRISTMAS UP THE HOLLER ballad, "My Love Brought Me Summer"; she's a beautiful lady and a wonderful performer.

I doubt it. There is no "aging male escort" or "antique rent boy" section in their magazine, DR MBarnum!

Things bode ill with getting the CHRISTMAS UP THE HOLLER gang together for a reading this December. Nothing's settled yet, but I think the offer may have come too late for us to pull it off well.

And i am home. Nice bus ride and the driver was the same I had yesterday. I even sat in the same "seat for the infirm."

At Toyland, I printed out all the pages I need for two more ROBERTA vocal scores. Thank God the printer finally got over its hump.

BK, are you in the show in any way, other than as director?  No narration?  No Guy Haines appearance?

Good morning, all! I set the alarm for 6:30, but I guess I didn't turn the alarm to ON because I awoke at 7:19. Damn! So, I'm running around like mad to get out of here by 8:30. Bacause of the OPS mess, I need to go back to Toyland this morning and take the delivery from the office that accepted it yesterday.

I'm a bit concerned because neither my health insurance check nor my rent check have cleared yet. If there's one thing I do not want, it's to walk to my insurance office, which is at the bottom of the lower east side and an awkward walk for me now, to give them a new check on Friday.  I'll call them in a bit and check.

I also had good news about some other possible work. Nothing definite, possible.

DR TCB, how did I miss that other great review, Old Timer?

Well, sonny, I think that last review was published after you went to bed.
