My surprise premium for contributing to BC/EFA after PIPPIN was a copy of this year's CAROLS FOR A CURE.  NEWSIES' contribution is "Take Me to Manhattan in December," written and performed by cast member Julie Foldesi.  It made me smile when I first heard it in the car yesterday and it made Richard smile when I played it for him as soon as I got home.

Julie Foldesi is the singer on the new CHRISTMAS UP THE HOLLER ballad, "My Love Brought Me Summer"; she's a beautiful lady and a wonderful performer.

Sorry I didn't make the connection, DR Elmore!  When you see her next, please tell how enchanted we are with her song.

From DR TCB:
Quote
Ironically, I believe the other good review "the nuanced performance" or whatever it said was written following the opening night performance.

I've been curious which shows these reviewers saw.  I also suspect, and now it has been proven, you were too hard on yourself opening night ;)

The Suburban Times, I believe, saw Wednesday preview; Mr. Dresdner saw Wednesday and Saturday; and I believe the Northwest Military saw opening night.

Greetings, all, and Happy Hump Day! "What hump?"

BK, I wish for you this day, a No Headache Day. It sounds like you've had enough for one lifetime there.

Technical question for BK or anyone else:  Is it possible to burn a DVD of a video that's on YouTube?

If you have a download link on the YOUTUBE video DR GINNY - you can download it and then depending on the file....burn it to DVD.

I think REAL PLAYER allows you to download the videos.  Sometimes I can do it, but I have to convert it to AVI file in order to burn it.

Thanks, DR JRand - I need Rob to interpret this for me.  In the meantime, I've called someone at the venue where we want to use the video (Monday's AAUW meeting) and she had me email her the URL and she'll take care of it.  That's what I wanted to hear...

The reading on Dec 18 or 19 is now cancelled.  Big relief.

For this year, yes, but could they pencil it in for next December?

I'm hoping next year we have one or more full-fledged productions going on.
