I left 30 minutes earlier, waited forever for a 104 bus with two older ladies, and when it pulled up, this young asshole father with his elementary school kid suddenly showed up and walked onto the bus with the kid: screw the old folks. I hate these shits.

I'm curious but do you ever, as politely as possible under the circumstances, every say something such as "excuse me, not only were we first but can't you see I'm old and disabled"?

I always stick up for my first-come, first-served rights.   I think some young parents are under the misguided notion that if they have young children, they have ultimate right-of-way.  Someone needs to correct their rude behavior...in a nice way, if possible.

I agree and if the parent's aren't reminded the children will grow up to be at least as rude.

Nice photo and your beard looks great!

I just noticed that my friend Paul (who played General Mills in TAO's The Brain From Planet X) is sitting right in front of the guy in the white shirt!

Richard is in my Momcave trying to connect one of these new DTAs on my TV before he attempts it on our main TV in the family room.  This maneuver was a disaster at Mom's retirement community and it's not going so well here...

My niece is obsessed with this bracelet making craze called Rainbow Loom.  She showed one in class during a presentation. And the next day half her classmates asked if she could make them one.  I think she's had like 20 orders.

She made me one and it's so pretty.

I looked it up and they are pretty.  What age does this begin for?

It says 8 on the box.  I think 8 is about right. You need to be able to focus. The patterns are quite intricate. It is hugely popular here now.

I'll shall be on my way to the theater in about thirty minutes.  No hanging around for notes after, either - coming straight home as I must be up at six in the morning.  And I'm really only accepting performance notes from here on in.

Me, too.  It's book group night and we're meeting here.  We may break for refreshments to watch the opening, but they don't want to watch the whole thing.

Got it...yesterday, I mailed you a previously requested DVD.  I should've waited a little longer so that I would only send one package, but oh well.  Not a problem. :D

Ladies and germs, I'm off to see WHITE CHRISTMAS on the big screen.  I know the existing Blu-ray is supposed to be a great transfer (I have it but haven't watched it on the good screen), so this ought to be quite amazingly good, don't you think?  Let's hope so!

Saw it on the big screen a few years back and loved it. Hope you enjoy.

Thanks for the link to the story DR CILLA LIZ....keep us posted....  And I agree that it sounds like your friend has a very good case.

It's too bad that 40 doesn't realize how quickly 60 will come....but the ambitious lady is setting herself up for a precipitous fall....

It wasn't as good a day for my friend today as yesterday was, but I'm not so sure the "judge" came across very well to the jury.  I was there in the morning and she seemed to be exaggerating and was quite defensive.  But who knows what a jury thinks.  The reprimand included such awful offenses as calendaring a deadline on April 26th when it was really April 30th.   It also includes leaving at 4:45 instead of 5:00 even though she had been at work since 6:30 am   It all seemed very trivial when there was no testimony her work was not up to par and a lot of testimony that she did a great job

Just trying to stay on top of everything.  Got a screener in the mail - never heard of the film - Nebraska.  Doesn't make me even want to put it in the player, that title.

Nice photo and your beard looks great!

I didn't want the beard for the role, but Maria insisted.  All for one line I say in the play.
