Up from a much-needed nap after going to a cookie exchange this afternoon. I have a swell-looking basket of cookies in th ecar and hope the folks at work can relieve me of a few of them.

I'm not sure which the kitty is more terrified about: the rocking chair, the wallpaper, or Santa's "spats."

Hello, everyone.

I just returned from the Anthony Newley & Leslie Bricusse show, PURE IMAGINATION. Very nicely done. Several great arrangements, some clever staging and great use of a small stage. Very well done all around.

My friend and hairdresser, Richard, joined me and was quite impressed.

Richard used to work for the studios many moons ago. He was a big fan of Lana Turner's and when it came time to do her hair he was quite nervous. At one point she turned to him and said, "Honey, it's just hair."

Ouch, Vixmom! So sorry to hear of your fall. Yes, see a chiropractor tomorrow. You'll likely heal faster.

As for the heels, I haven't worn anything higher than a 1" heel since college. Heels and I just don't get along.  I don't know how women are wearing the platform heels that are in fashion now. Not for me!

LA has been unusually cold. I never have the heat on this much. But, compared to the rest of the country, we have it easy. Vibes to all of you in cold weather.

Such a hassle.... We changed our book discussion to the home of a woman who broke her foot so she wouldn't miss the fun (others are doing the work).  Now many of us can't go anywhere so I have to try and change it.  The woman who we moved the meeting for can only change it to Wednesday or Friday.
Who knows when anyone else can be there.

I could use some major sun vibes to melt the ice tomorrow.

The schools are closed tomorrow.

Only the Mt. Ashland ski area is happy, they really needed this snow and now have a good 19" base.

And i am home from dinner with Vincent Lynch, pianist extraordinaire. We went around  the corner to a new place, The Social Club. Vinny had black bean soup for starters, spareribs, and pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. I had steamed mussels and clams, salmon, and apple pie, I had my first wine and ice cream with the pie for the first time in five months. Very delicious! Vinny's off to see the Rockefeller Center tree, and I am off to bed.
