Well, you've read the notes, the notes were practically perfect, and now it is time for you to post until the practically perfect cows come home.

Up early this 20-degree morning (I left the heat on, too, just like BK -- coincidence??) to be ready to greet the electrician who has to do one last small thing before the town inspector comes to look things over and give the final permit on the generator.  It's been on line and doing fine for three weeks, but it's time to cross the i's and dot the t's --- or, well, you know what I mean...

The inspector is also coming over today, so all of a sudden we have a flurry of activity.  Yesterday was a frozen Hell, with the snowstorm and the frigid cleanup, and we're going to be in the deep freeze for some time to come.  This is January/February weather.

This evening, after all of that megillah or meshugah or ferkakte or whatever it is, I'm going over to an HTF-friend's house to watch MARY POPPINS on the Big Screen and out of the Big Speakers.  He has a fine projection system and I fully expect to be blown away by the film.  I must needs pick up my own copy -- today, if time permits, but certainly by tomorrow.

Yesterday, in between snow work, I watched my first Yasujiro Ozu film, TOKYO STORY.  Wow.  A far cry from MARY POPPINS, to say the least.

Okay, that gets us started for the day.  I must get back to being prepared for Mr. Electrician.  Back later.  Vibes to all.

Wednesday morning greetings!  Thank you, BK, for the lovely birthday wish in today's notes.  We began celebrating last night with dinner at one of my favorite Cincinnati-area restaurants, The Grand Finale.

Yes. We leave Friday for the return home with a stop in Wisconsin to visit friends and Ohio (northern part, not in your area) and probably another stop to break up the trip and keep Anthony from collapsing as the only driver

It's a balmy -2 here right now.  Not sure what the wind chill is, but at this temp, does it matter?

The morning dog walks at these temperatures have been interesting. It doesn't seem to faze the dog at all - he goes out and dives right into the snow banks and rolls around and would go for hours if we let him. However, once I have to take my glove off to scoop the dog doo, my fingers never recover until well after I have returned home!
