The last class I wanted in high school was calculus and I had no use for trigonometry, so I stopped math after Algebra 2. Because I did, I had to take one semester of math in college.
I also took four years of science in high school (biology, chemistry, anatomy and physics), thinking I could forego it in college. But no, you had to have four semesters of science for a bachelor of arts degree. Then midway through, they changed the rules and you had to take two classes in sequence (a 101 and a 102) and you had to have a lab class, so I ended up with five semesters of science.
I remember very little of it and squeaked through geology lab only because all the lab aides were movie freaks and I was writing movie reviews for the student paper back then.
