well the tree is lit -  all the boxes were pulled out of the crawl space -  a job that gets harder every year

the ornaments for this year  were selected and hung and the tree is finished

then  all the boxes had to be hauled back upstairs and put back in the crawl space

But I should head off to bed, instead of thinking more about food.

while decorating we watched  A Month by the Lake with Vanessa Redgrave and Uma Thurman.. we did not like any of the acting choices - perhaps it was bad direction but they were all pulling faces like it was a silent film

The we watched three episodes of Downton Abbey  on PBS

this is the first time in years that we did not watch  Into the Woods while decorating - and also decorating without the Vixter .  She now works all weekend

This woman came up to me after the show.  She said that she loves the movie version of IAWL, and she watches it faithfully every year.  And she said she thought I was better than Lionel Barrymore.  I don't know about that, but it was a very nice thing for her to say.

Because of the snow and ice last night she was told she could stay home last night of she could get to the church early to be sure that the Sunday School wing and the social hall were ready for the Christmas Pageant

 so she was up at 5 and off to church to clean for 3 1/2 hours then she had to vest and act as communion assistant, then she was off to the Roadhouse to work a 8 hour shift and then back to church for another 5 hours

This woman came up to me after the show.  She said that she loves the movie version of IAWL, and she watches it faithfully every year.  And she said she thought I was better than Lionel Barrymore.  I don't know about that, but it was a very nice thing for her to say.

We had about 4 inches of snow  when I went o bed  but during the night the snow turned to rain - it was a relief to wake up to find that the drive, the cars and the pavements were all clear - especially as I overslept  and did not wake up until 15 minutes after I already planned to be at church

Tonight, I've watched the last two episodes of "The Sing-Off" (episodes 2 & 3).

And before that, the latest episode of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."

I love "The Sing-Off."  I've recorded every season since the second.

They only have 12 or so episodes, so it's not difficult.

For the first season, I only thought to record a few songs from one group.  I forget which group, but I saw the disc just a couple of days ago, so I know I have it.

They are now on Season 4.
