Well, I must and needs say good night.  Up early again tomorrow for a morning and two (count'em) evening performances at the high school.  Tomorrow's the last of it.  Probably ketchup for a bit in the afternoon.

I'm going to be in Los Angeles for a couple of book signings.  On Saturday, December 21, at 2 pm, I will be at Dark Delicacies in Burbank, signing copies of both BASIL RATHBONE and DRACULA MEETS JACK THE RIPPER and Other Revisionist Histories.  Then, on Sunday (22), also at 2 pm, I'll be in Glendale at the Mystery and Imagination Bookstore, signing copies of LIFE, LIBERTY & THE PURSUIT OF HOLLYWOOD, so if you're in town, please come to one or the other...if not both.

Did you buy your ticket??  (I didn't ).  Anyway, here are the Mega-jackpot Mega Millions winning numbers: 8, 14, 17, 20, 39 — Mega Ball 7!

Those were the winning numbers drawn late Tuesday in the multi-state Mega Millions lottery. If there's a single winning ticket, it's worth a top prize that's second only to a $656 million jackpot that was divided three ways in March 2012.

And if there are no winners and the jackpot rolls over yet again, it could approach or even top the once-unthinkable $1 billion barrier for Friday's drawing, Mega Millions officials have said.

The $636 million — before taxes — is on the table only if a winner or winners is willing to spread the payments out over 30 years. If it's taken all at once, it's worth "only" $341 million.

But...I didn't buy a ticket, so no use even dreaming about it.

Round one errands done!  Bought my customary 2 small poinsettias and brought them home out of the cold.  I'm grabbing some lunch before heading out for round 2.

I tried to do some Christmas shopping today, but there were too many cars and too few parking spots.  I was already worn out when I got into the stores.  I just had to turn around and leave.  I just don't have the strength.

When I went to mail a couple of packages today at lunch, I witnessed a two-car accident. Neither party seemed injured, but it was ugly. One car, driven by an elderly lady, had its fender practically ripped off. She seemed to be pushing it as she drove to get out of the street. Not a great thing to have to witness.

DR TCB I have a book wish list at my eBook library, on Goodreads, and a small one at Barnes and Noble.  The one at B & N is a small list with only books my library doesn't carry.

I guess I was thinking it would be Goodreads, but I couldn't remember the name of it.

Well, I've FINALLY finished the last of the evaluations for my staff.  Tomorrow, I find out what my supervisor thinks of me and my work.

We had to let go of our dear dog Toby just about a half hour ago.  He was 13 years and 7 months old, which they say is about 94 in human years.
