Wednesday evening greetings!  After a very restless night, I spent the morning arranging the angel collection on the piano.  Then I got cleaned up and went out to do some Christmas errands before heading to Mom's to meet my cousin and his fiance from Georgia.  They're visiting her family north of Dayton for some holiday festivity and (May) wedding planning.  Mom wanted to "treat" us to dinner in the retirement community dining room, so Richard met us there and 4 of us enjoyed the meal.  Mom could not eat, and told us she has not been able to since Friday, so I guess I'd better call the gastroenterologist tomorrow for her follow-up appointment.  We got her settled in her apartment and visited a bit more and now Richard and I are home.

Back from a chopped salad with oil and vinegar, ham and avocado (light and good) and a cup of chili.  Picked up two packages, including a birthday gift from the East Coast Singer - something I'll get every month for a year - a pie of the month.  This one is kind of a cherry apple crumb pie and it looks most yummilicious and I'll sample it this very evening.

That's pretty cool, BK!  Enjoy!

It is.  Will the pies all be from the same bakery or different places?

Did you expect not to?

I did not expect any problems.  I just don't like having them and now that I'm a supervisor, I have to do them for my staff.  They're all great and I'm happy that they're working here and they all got very good evaluations, too. :D

It feels good not to have to write a bad evaluation.  It seems you work with a lot of nice people.

Has anyone linked this article yet on Joan Fontaine and Olivia de Havilland?  If not, here it is.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/race/joan-fontaine-olivia-de-havilland-666087

There is more detail here than I've read in the past.  I shouldn't more about there quarrel as it is sad.  It reminds me too much of dealings with my sister.

It might not help but I have found I can eat basmati when I can't eat anything else, and then I slowly add other foods to it.

DR ryacko, did you ask the car place is they would shuttle you home?

They are a small place and were not staffed for that, so I was on my own. I managed.

I love her, too!  She's now in the Guinness Book of World Records for having the most TV specials (20) of any comic, male or female!

DR George, congratulations on your evaluation and on completing the ones for your staff.  That was my least favorite part of being a manager.

I know!  I am very lucky to have worked with some really good people.  I have coworkers (who have different supervisors) who've told me horror stories about their bosses. :P

Tell her it is advice from a person with IBS.  When I first got it I couldn't eat anything but basmati which, of course, wasn't good for me.  I hope the doctor offers some suggestions.
