Speaking of close enough to see  my Christmas prezzie from Vixdad was two  Broadway theatre tickets

for Twelfth Night and Richard III http://ppc.broadway.com/shows/twelfth-night-broadway

One at the matinee and the other the evening performance and both seats are onstage

I am very excited!

The only award shows that I watch are the Oscars, The Tony's and the Kennedy Center Awards

TOD:

I watch the Oscars, the Emmys and the Tonys.

Also, the SAG Awards and, because they are fun, The Golden Globes.

The rest are meaningless to me.

Received my CDs from Kritzerland yesterday, JOHN WAYNE AT FOX (former/late client Hugo Montenegro did one of the scores) and SABRINA (I love the song "Sentimental Moments" from WE'RE NO ANGELS.)

We watched Lee Daniels' THE BUTLER last night and enjoyed it.  However, I do think the script lost its way from time-to-time.

That is fantastic! What a great gift.

I am home from the post office. It's too chilly to deal with laundry this morning.  It's supposed to be a high of 51 today, but I'm seriously doubting it. Looks like Monday after physical therapy will be the laundry date for the bedding.

Good morning, all.

Two (2) bizarre dreams here -- one in the middle of the night from which I woke and stayed awake for a few minutes (so I know that's when it was), the other this morning before I got up at around 8:00 -- both of them concerning me being among a bunch of people gathered for some event like a wedding for which we needed to get into our tuxes and other formal wear and observe certain formalities or rituals throughout the day......

Just bizarre.

I did have to wear my tux for those Christmas concerts two weeks ago, but that's nothing unusual.  This was more like a foreshadowing of something coming up, and I swear to God there's nothing coming up.  Oy!

Coffee!  (Starbucks Breakfast Blend)

Maybe there's an awards show coming up, and you're supposed to be a presenter.

Saturday morning greetings!  Today is a big college football day for our family - Cincinnati in the Belk Bowl this afternoon and Michigan in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl tonight.  Rob and Mary Linda are coming for the afternoon game and we'll either order dinner in or go out when it's over.

Go, Bearcats!

Because the Michigan game doesn't even start here until 10:15pm, I have already told Fr. Richard that I'm not going to Lima tomorrow.  I will stay home and get the desserts ready to take to a Palmer family gathering tomorrow evening at DN Lauren's home.

Go, Blue!

I like the storage under the staircase better than just the steps, more storage and easier to reach.

I'm up, I'm up, she of the Evil Eye is here and I'll go do a jog.  Oh, and I'm screaming, because I did see yet another "reviewer" on the Internet giving best of accolades - this one also being a producer of shows at a community theater - and the actors act like they just got the Oscar and thank them profusely, as if it means a damn thing.

Oy!  I'm in complete agreement about most awards and best-of nonsense being a waste of human thought and effort.  But I rather hope that was a silent scream, for the sake of Annette's daughter and perhaps others.

Which brings us to the TOD, for which I shall crib off of DR Druxy's answer.  I haven't caught the SAG Awards, maybe I should, but for me, these are the must-sees, if only for the spectacle and whatever entertainment value derives therefrom...

I think these are the ones I watch as well. Although I don't always get to see the SAGs. Depends on if they show them here (which i think they have the last couple of years).

Larry, I forgot to add my congrats on the possible Holler reading. I hope it happens so we can trek on over to York and see and hear your music! It will be an excuse for an HHW get together.
