You know, we're always hearing from DR KevinH on how he's shuffling off to Buffalo, but we have yet to see a video actually showing it.

Watch this incredible musical number with Bob Fosse and Tommy Rall - watch the way it's shot.  And then imagine how it would be shot and edited by one of today's movie directors - take note especially of the rather astonishing and impossible turn that Mr. Rall does towards the end - today, these "directors" would do ten edits within that astonishing turn, as if that somehow would make it more exciting than watching someone actually DOING the thing.  We'd also have many shots of feet and closeups and there would be no camera design - just six cameras set up so that the number can be made in the editing room.  But sorry "directors" - THIS is the way to shoot a musical number, and none of your hipster crap can make it one iota more exciting than just putting the camera down and letting two unbelievable dancers do a well choreographed number.  The End.

When I watched the Donny and Marie sketch, which I don't think I'd really seen since we did it, I only remembered the accent bit.  Had no memory of "borrowing" the chair bit, but since no one had seen Nudie Musical outside of a few FANatics at that point, and since the Donny and Marie audience would never be seeing it, we obviously thought it was okay to steal from ourselves   My memory of that first show is that they wrote something for us that we didn't like so I quickly came up with that sketch.

I was wondering if that was something that you had come up with.

woke up late AGAIN three weeks in a row  but I managed to get coffee hour set up in time to make it into the 9 AM service  act as communion assistant and pop back out to serve coffee, then got sit and relax and chat with some of the ladies about Christmas  until the next service  ended and the next coffee rush came along,

Then cleaned up the kitchen  cleaned up communion in the chapel and the church and finally headed home around 1

Vixdad and I decided to go and see the Hobbit part II in 3D and IMAX   we are both fans of the book and also of the two radio plays - one by the BBC  and one by the a (I believe) Seattle based group called the Minds Eye  so we were quite surprised by various additions to the story-

There is a part of the story that was true to the book that involves giant  creatures that I fear - i had to  hide my face in Vixdad's chest for  most of that part -  I did chance to look up at an unfortunate moment  when a 3 D creature appeared to be inches from me  I let out a scream that frightened  everyone in three rows around me and hid my face until Vixdad told me it was safe

Mine are pampered chef.  I followed the apple streusel recipe that came with them.  I need to play with the cooking time a little and the recipe, but as the other five are cooling, I popped one right out of the pan.  It tasted better than I thought it would
