I think if my apples had been a bit juicier it would have been better, but the taste is good and it's kind of nice to have single servings.....but I want another one, lol

That's the inherent evil of those "single" serving sizes. They're really half a single serving, especially when the dessert is good.

We are back from a nice family gathering hosted by DN Lauren and her fiance Jim in their new (to them) home.  Lauren's sisters were both there, along with their husbands and the 3 children of one of them.  Rob and Mary Linda, too, and Lauren's mom.  Oh, and Gunnar the chocolate lab and Ariel the cat - ah-choo!

I finally watched more of The Sound of Music Live, but I'm afraid I can't give it much more of my time.  I think the whole thing, including Miss Underwood, could have been fine if there was an actual director in attendance.  The one that WAS in attendance is, for me, as bad as it gets - I have seen any number of shows he's done and he is dreadful every time.  These poor actors were left hanging out to dry, especially Miss Underwood.

Lol, so did I.  We have friends that asked to stay at the house which worked for us.  Now we don't have to worry about the pipes freezing.

Yes, on a boat in the harbor. 

Not only is this city known for thefirst and best fireworks every year,  they have an earlier family show at 9:00.

Speaking of the Vixter  - she called from her second  job to say that she had lost the steering on her way to work from her first job (Sundays are busy - church  followed by a  5 hour shift at the restaurant followed by a 5 hour shift at church)

fortunately  she arrived safely  - Vixdad went up there and the serpentine belt  had fallen off - he manhandled the car to the local shop and we followed in his car- ah just what we needed  2 days before college tuition payment is due and 2 weeks before  car insurance payment is due... another expensive car repair

Wow that is a trip we have always hoped to make ... ah well maybe someday...for the meantime I will enjoy  it vicariously through your pictures;  please post plenty!

Well, Frances Ha is proving to be Frances Nah to me. It is irritating, despite a very good lead performance. I don't like whiny people, no matter the age, so a whiny millennial is just another whiny person. I did like Charlotte d'Amboise, though.
