Long, long day or rehearsing - we finally finished at around four-fifteen, and then several of us went for some food - I was starving by then.  I had a cup of chili and a ham and Swiss on rye.

Then Nick Redman came by for a visit and he just left.  Also, picked up some packages.

Well, it's time for me to leave work, go home and forage for food.

Until later.

Cup of chili and a ham and Swiss on rye and Nick Redman sound like a fine evening to me.

Watching a silly bit of nonsense called "Cairo" with Jeanette MacDonald. Ethel Waters plays her maid, except when she dresses up and leads a jazz band in "Buds Won't Bud" and then reprises it with Dooley Wilson.
