Good evening, all.

Well, I did accomplish some good stuff today. More to get done tomorrow.

Picked up my third 7-shelf set of unfinished pine shelves for movies. This will consolidate those lying around in stacks, and in a couple of small bookcases which are better used elsewhere. I have a few such unfinished wood pieces, and this spring I'll take them out to the garage and put a nice stain on them. Dress up the jernt a little.

fortunaltey I live clsoe to the office so I was only 10 minutes late but without morning coffee or breakfast ad did not get totwarm th ecarup suffficintly

Vixdad treated me to dinner at IHOP tonight - I had the half order of the chicken florentine crepe

we are such regulars at this IHOP we know most of the waitstaff by name and they know us

John didnt even need to bother giving us menus today .. we ordered as we were being seated

then when we got home we called Vixdad's folks in Canada and begged them to take their weather back

They refused - however they already have 3 feet of snow that shows no sign of leaving before mid May so I guess we'll have to forgive them

Our boss had always taken us out for nice dinner at an expensive restaurant usually the week before Christamas

but lovely as the dinner was, for our nearly all women office it was difficult after working long days and trying to get Christmas shopping done, Christmas decorating done, Christmas cards done,school concerts attended etc and we finally begged him last year to celebrate AFTER the holidays were done and we not feeling so stressed

He agreed and suggested we do something different than the usual sit down dinner.. we ended up with a bowling party!

The bowling alley local to our office is huge and it has two private bowling rooms in addition to the regular bowling area- the private rooms have 8 or 10 lanes and set up for a buffet dinner and they have waitstaff to serve drinks from the bar

The party was a great success , we all had a really fun time and when he asked if we'd like to do it again we all enthusiastically said yes
