I'm seriously thinking of reissuing Jeepers Creepers with a completely new cover - think there's be interest?

I already have it, too, but it's a recording that should be available.

I already have it, but I imagine there would be folks that would love a new opportunity to purchase it.

Oh, just remembered --

BK:  I've searched Amazon and eBay and a couple of other sites and am coming up with nada on my search for the UMBRELLAS score you referred to the other day.  All I'm finding are a few sheet music selections.  Nothing at all urgent about this, but someday I would love to see whatever it is you've got!

ChasSmith, click HERE for Amazon.com or HERE for the Amazon.fr listing from France.  With the currency conversion, they actually work out to be pretty close to the same cost.

Hello All:

Well I have been in my mobile home since Monday.

We have had quite a time of it here in West Seneca, NY.

Finally it stopped snowing.  We have 16 inches of snow!

Hope you are staying warm. Would not like to see 16 inches of snow.

As for the reissue:

Wasn't there another album you recorded before you left the other label that was never released? Donna McKechnie?

Otherwise I would second the Sherman Bros album with the missing Guy Haines track and perhaps get permission to use the original cover design.

AND get Richard Sherman himself to record "Feed the Birds"!

Oy!  I am an idiot for not searching on the French title.  Thanks!!

This is more of a general room clean-up, with just some additional shelving that doesn't require any real reorganizing.  Either way, though, and whether early or late in the process, I'm always happy to hear how other people deal with this, DR Jrand63!    :)

TOD: Forever Plaid -- with just the pianist who came with the room and Uncle Chester. Like it is supposed to be.

A friend of mine from the NYC Gay Men's Chorus was an extra in CRUISING, and he claimed the director and crew handed out drugs and poppers, encouraged them to carouse, anrd made quite a porn film, which, i suspect, has been amusing the director for years. I've heard bits of gossip about his private life fem folk in the opera  world.

Yesterday I watched MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA.

I had read the book several years ago for my book club.

My best friend absolutely loved the book, but was disappointed in the movie.

I thought the movies was good but a little too long and did not stay true to the book as I recall.

However, I thought it was beautifully made and the little girl was marvelous.  I also learned about how hard it is to become a GEISHA and what it really means to be one.

I rate it 8 out of 10 For KATE'S CRITIQUES!

DR CHAS SMITH I am putting all of my DVD's in notebooks in plastic sheets (4 disks to a sheet) - and tossing the containers.  I keep the booklets and some of the covers in sheet protectors.....takes up much less space and is easy to add new discs or find what I am looking for.....

Ah, got it.  Lots of people are doing that these days.  I've done it for a few segments of my collection (or accumulation, if you will), but I'm not quite ready to take that plunge for the greater part of it.

We went to the Library and I picked up the following:

BEFORE MIDNIGHT, (I Couldn't get the first 2)
THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES
BECOMING JANE

Have any DR"S seen these, and if so can you recommend them?

Also If anyone has seen BEFORE MIDNIGHT do you think It's important to see the first two first?

I still keep all the packaging.  I haven't gotten organized in my life to see if I need to do what you've done.  A co-worker of mine has done that, too.  Several years ago, she gave me a couple of boxes of practically brand new empty DVD cases.

If you add the song BOOBIE WOOGIE BOOGIE MAN from MURDER IN THE BLUE ROOM (1944) to it, I am there!

DR Jrand63, how do you group or sort your collection?  And how difficult is it to bring new acquisitions into what your system is?

I got the idea for DR RLP who was doing his CD collection in this way.  I have major groups first:

War Movies
Musicals
Horror/SciFi
etc.

Alphabetical by title.  Because I use loose leaf notebooks - the LARGE ones - and three hole punch disk sheets (4 to a side. 8 disks per sheet) I can add or subtract sheets as needed, and I always leave a few blank spots here and there for additions.

All of the Box Sets are kept in their original containers, tv seasons, special multidisks sets (Cleopatra, etc)  I did it this way to save ROOM.  It really did compact the size of the collection!  I am not quite finished, I have a few shelves of discs to go....but I am making progress.
