You never know what horrors you'll find on the Internet. Just came across this photo of me after judging the chili competition.

Nice picture. :)

I agree.

Congratulations on receiving the crown, DR Ginny.  I hope it was a nice ceremony.

I cannot believe I lost my Nook.  Someone is looking for it at the Y but it wasn't turned in :(
I just realized I didn't have it when I went to read my book.

Are doctors' offices open today despite the holiday?

Well the law offices were open -  or at least one was.....

Thanks Ginny, they did find it.  While they were looking I decided to drive down and it was found before I arrived :)

What a relief!!!   Aside from not having my book to read I really need to password protect my information.

I was planning on staying home and just watching TV and doing some laundry, but my friend Margo called and asked if I wanted to go to the movies...of course, I do!  So, we're going to eat at Olive Garden at about 3:00, and then go see "Frozen" in 3D! ;D

I read that as  "we're going to eat an Olive Garden"

Thank you DR Vixmom.  Now if only I can get my two library books to open.  At the moment I'm trying to figure out how to add a password so no one else can open it.

TCB...here's the bio on the "taxi driver from Minneapolis"   ok, it was limo driver.  This appears to have been his first film role

Quote
Personal life

Abdi was born in 1985 in Mogadishu, located in the southern Banaadir region of Somalia. He was raised in Yemen.[1]

In 1999, at the age of 14, Abdi moved with his family to Minneapolis. He subsequently attended Minnesota State University Moorhead, located four hours northwest of Minneapolis.[1] Before entering the film industry, he worked as a limousine driver, a store-clerk at a self-employed telecommunications business in the Mall of America with his brother Guled Abdi, and disc jockey in Minnesota.[2][3]
Career

Abdi made his film debut in the 2013 movie Captain Phillips, where he stars as Abduwali Muse, a ship hijacker and pirate leader.[4][5] He received a nomination for the role from the Screen Actors Guild for the Best Supporting Actor Award. He has also been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Additionally, Abdi received a Golden Globe Award nomination and a BAFTA Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.[citation needed] After the nominations, he made a number of media appearances, with plans to move to Los Angeles in February 2014.[6]

Abdi is presently directing a movie, Ciyaalka Xaafada. He has also directed several music videos.[

Thanks.  Now I might be able to sleep tonight.  I know I would have worried about it all night if it wasn't found.

Glad you found it. I don't bring my kindle very many places. Because I don't want to lose it.

I don't know if it's worth it for me to do that. But if you do end up losing your kindle i know you can call amazon and they can make it so that the person who has it cannot use it.

While searching for the info on loading the password I saw the same for the Nook.  I suppose a bit of damage can be done while I'm searching, or like today even noticing I lost it.  Basically I only have email on there and facebook so it wouldn't be the worst thing I suppose.
