Egads, did I listen to a lot of stuff as a young 'un. For reasons never entirely clear to me, my parents had me listening to a lot of Allan Sherman and selections of Tom Lehrer and Flanders & Swann (and you wonder how I turned out the way I did). As far as actual children's music Free to Be You and Me was on constant rotation, as was a collection from Schoolhouse Rock, and a bunch of Golden Records stuff. My favorite of the latter, as I recall, was There's No Such Thing as a Dragon, featuring a song called "Everybody Likes to Be Noticed."
