TOD: I would say my most memorable Valentine's Day was the one where DR Sandra and I were in a bar in Palm Springs (after one of Jason Graae's shows) with DR Kerry, Jason, and his fella, and Sandra and I were were outed as lesbian lovers by a group of drunks.

I KNEW it!!!

Thank you for asking John, I am actually doing quite well. I have not taken any pain pills, not even advil,  in over 24 hours.  I slept well and the swelling is almost gone

Tomorrow morning I meet with my oncologist - it's been 5 years since I finished my treatments -  this is the 5 year goal post I was looking for... very excited to be going  (except for the standing on the scale part)

I stopped at the movie theatre on my way home and bought my ticket to see Romeo and Juliet on Thursday -  I got a 30% discount for showing my "starpass" card at the National Amusements Theatre

That's great!  I hope that I can say the same 5 years hence.  ;D

All the best with that. I met with my kidney doctor today. It was two years ago this week, I had the operation. He's pleased. I see him once more this year and next, and then we'll go on an every-other-year schedule.

thanks for the good thoughts...

I am chuckling at a freind's kids. She grew suspicious when they became unusually quiet. Her suspicions were confirmed. Her three-year old was practicing artistic self-expression on his sister with permanent markers. She is well decorated in reds, greens, blues, purples, yellows and black on her legs and arms.

My favorite orchestration in the score is the reprise of "The Other Side of the Tracks."

And I just discovered another mouse in the traps. That's two in two days.  I am not amused.

Yes!  That was incredible.

And now I believe it's time for Mouse Be Gone vibes for DR Elmore.

And my last show of the weekend was a little know production called, Chicago, the Musical.  Hey, I haven't seen it for over a year!  I've probably seen it about 15 times over the years.

I'm not too sure about Bebe Neuwirth.  I guess I've been used to sassy women like Carol Woods in the role of Mama Morton.  Bebe's singing is not what it used to be.  I'll leave it at that!   I wasn't too impressed with Bianca Marroquin (sp?) in the role of Roxie Hart, but Amra-Faye Wright was very good as Velma.  And Billy Flynn was great, not surprisingly!

Did they have a newcomer playing Billy?

I saw the first two STAR WARS movies when they were released, and then I gave up.

I only made it thru the first STAR WARS.

Jrand - TITANIC also won five Tonys, including Best Musical.  Supposedly, the Best Musical and best Play prizes are said to be the only Tonys which almost always have a great effect on box office.  (In addition to Tony Danza, of course.)
