I'm dreading the drive to the theater.  I'll leave at five-thirty and hope for the best or, conversely, I'll hope for the best and leave at five-thirty.

Hmmmm . . . "Dreading the Drive" sounds like it could be the title of something . . . .

I don't recall this 1981 advertisement, but it is fun to see the before and after of the kid in the ad.

In other news, Ted Cruz is still an idiot and I don't understand how he can live with himself. Why does he not try to actually do something productive instead come up with things that have only one purpose, and that is to make him even more popular with the Tea Party.

this morning at around 7 AM  Vixdad and I were outside; I shoveling and clearing cars, he using the snowblower. We worked our way  from the front door to the street and when  done turned around to find it appeared we had never touched the snow at all

6 of us showed up plus the boss.  The cafeteria guy came in so the boss bought us all breakfast -  Jimmy the cafe guy makes a great omelet... I had spinach, red peppers, onions, mushrooms and muenster cheese  in mine --- oh a rye toast with butter and orange maramlade

by 12:30 he told us to goon home --- we were the only ones in the building - the cafe guy went home at 11

on my way home I drove by the train parking lot - there were so few cars I could easily find Vixdad's  which had been  carefully plowed in --- so I headed home  picked up  the Vixter (college was cancelled today) and the spare keys and a couple of shovels and we went back and cleared off his car, dug it out and moved it over two spaces to a clear parking spot .

well actually it was not quite that simple  the first set of keys had a dead battery in the alarm  bob  so we set off the alarm and could not turn it off nor start the car--- i was terrified we would run down the battery  so I ran home since I remembered there had a been a second spare key  and bob an on the hook then back to the  train station    that one worked  and the clearing and car moving was accomplished

The snow tuned to rain and now everything is slushy--- they are saying the snow may come back again and the Vixter and I are debating whether to risk the trip to see Romeo & Juliet.... the show starts in  90 minutes and no snow yret , the theatre is open and the show is being shown.....

Here's a topic for discussion:

How do you stand on snoodity in the cinema?
Would Hitchcock have used it as a MacGuffin?

From DR TCB:

I have been invited to the callbacks for THE ODD COUPLE later this month.  Now I have to decide whether I am interested in going.

Why are you hesitating and for which roll did they invite you?

My eye exam went fine today, but my eyes are still a little blurry from the drops.  My new glasses should be ready in a week to 10 days.

Has any DR heard of a new web series on Amazon called Mozart in the Jungle? Its a scripted show that purports to take you "behind the scenes" of the classical music world. Bernadette Peters is supposedly in it!

I would kill to hear her sing Mozart!

Your request is my command

Some mozart with an Irish twist...
