I love a big orchestra that has a conundrum or two....very effective.  I have a friend who played the conundrum in a marching band.  It was something to see.

Afternoon, all! Happiest of birthdays to Dan M!

TOD: I've been blessed with many wonderful teachers, but one that I particularly remember was Dr. C, my high school history teacher. I was always a science nerd, and, while I did well in Dr. C's class, history was my least favorite subject. One time during club hour, I was rehearsing my science fair presentation to two other members of the science club. Dr. C walked by the classroom, saw what I was doing, and sat in on my presentation so that I would have an audience and better rehearse. A small gesture, but one that moved me greatly, and one that I got to thank him for many years later.

I'm trying to get ready for this trip. I should leave in a few minutes for the airport.

Anyway, the bird is safely ensconced at the Tweet Suite. My bags are packed, except for the laptop.

TOD:

Cole Porter and Stephen Sondheim, to a kid who listened to music that was far from what was popular at the time, they offered lessons in being a wordsmith that I use all the time.
Esteban Cardenas, my primary ballroom dance instructor.
Carol Yeager. The last is a long-time friend who got me to go back to college to get my master's. Beyond that, she got me involved in the concept of student-directed learning and facilitated a class in creativity that was a real eye-opener.

I predict today will end at its normal time.  What I can't predict will be those I take out during that process.
