I was in an escapist mood last night, and made the mistake of watching "Thor: The Dark World. Zzzzzz.  Put me right to sleep. Maybe it was just the mood I was in, but I thought, this is the "let's make a mediocre sequel so people don't forget the character" movie. Sheesh. I really have to stop watching that crap.  ::)

LOL we also watched this last night.  I was apparently more entertained than you were and found it enough of a distraction from my wrist.

Good afternoon. We have been having a lovely day of rain here. I have spent my indoor day doing various paperworks and tidying ups.

Yesterday, I wrote:
Quote
Well, it's time for me to head out.  My sister had me order a couple of flat-iron hair flatteners for her and they arrived today.  I'll bring them over and visit for a bit.  I have some TV watching to do when I get home...and probably some laundry.  I'm working concessions again tomorrow evening.

Be back later!

And Jane asked:
Quote
Why does she need more than one? :)

And today, I'm answering:

One is for my sister, and the other is for her daughter.  After I gave them the hair-irons, I stayed for a while and we chatted and watched a bit of TV.  I just realized that she didn't pay me for them...I'll have to go back.

Thanks for explaining what I found to be unusual ;)

Every component is working perfectly (I know everyone has been waiting breathlessly for this news!!) -- even though I had to call the damned cable company and go through menu hell and wait on hold for ten minutes because today, for some reason, my cable box decided that I wasn't authorized to watch anything.  Fortunately, if their sending a signal hadn't been able to rejuvenate it, I could have gone to their new store (which is now in a shopping center and is actually open on weekends, if you can believe that) and exchanged the box.  Because, believe you me, I wouldn't have wanted to watch the Oscars on anything less than the best screen.  That would have been torture.  I'll keep testing it tomorrow so I can make a run to the store if I have to.  Lordy, the things we go through.

For an actor that isn't a particular favorite of mine Charton Heston was in a lot of movies I liked.

My two favorites are:
Ben-Hur
Soylent Green
Planet of the Apes

LOL  My intention was to name the top two and then added the last one and forgot to adjust the two to three.

Thanks for the vibes DR TCB.

Sometimes it feels like I need to wash the entire pool out of my hair.  I shampoo it then put this foamy stuff in to get the chemicals out and then shampoo it again.  What a pain but the pool water has damaged my hair terribly.

I read one story that suspected Jenner was prepping for a sex change.

I had this vision of you in an empty swimming pool trying to scrub the entire thing one-handed.

Mr / Ms Jenner apparently had his adam's apple shaved. which is about the most disgusting thing I have ever heard.

If he knew how badly you needed it, couldn't he be convinced to FedEx or express mail it?

We've had about 3 inches of snow.  It's the most we've had all year.  I fired up the snowblower for the first time this season and cleared the driveway.  It took a little tweaking to get the thing started, but it did.  I'm happy

Why is Pink performing at the Oscars?  The only connection I can think of is that she may have watched a movie.
