Yes, being a DGA member has nothing to do with the Oscars.  I suppose that way back in the day I could have tried to get in the Academy, but alas, I didn't.

Where is the Green Giant statue?

There might be more than one, but I've been to the one in Blue Earth Minnesota.  There is a huge sign as you go south and down the hill toward Le Sueur, Minnesota that says something like "Now entering the Valley of the Jolly Green Giant"  I've always thought the statue should be there
