I just realized that Russell Johnson was also snubbed.  While he was mainly known as The Professor on "Gilligan's Island", he was in the sci-fi movie cult classic, "This Island Earth" and several other movies.  He certainly was worthy of recognition.

If he was in a cult sci-fi movie he was definitely worth recognition.

The related article to my last post about Dennis Farina being another snubbee:

Arthur Rankin, Jr. of Rankin-Bass fame, was also a snubbee.  "Mad Monster Party" was a theatrical release.  I used to own a copy of the Percepto Records CD of the original soundtrack (which unfortunately was stolen from my collection).  The soundtrack is a lot of fun.  Ethel Ennis sings the title song as if it were a James Bond movie.  Phyllis Diller even sings (?).

Jean Stapleton was also snubbed.  I hope she forgives me for forgetting her as I've been watching "All in the Family" in recent days.

She should have been mentioned along with Jonathan Winters.

I just read something so funny. There is a new game where you put in your name and they tell you how John Travolta would pronounce it.  This stems from him calling Idina Menzel by the name Adele Dazeem.

I'm going to finish watching the awards and hear Travolta instead of simply reading about it.

Good reviews of DEAREST ENEMY in the March/April issues of FANFARE magazine and AMERICAN RECORD GUIDE.  I’m very happy about this!

Wes Anderson's upcoming movie sounds intriguing; great cast:

I've seen the trailer for this.  It looks like it'll be a lot of fun and I really want to see it. :)

Somehow I missed "The Fantastic Mister Fox".  I've enjoyed Anderson's movies.  Never can go wrong with Bill Murray.  "Moonrise Kingdom" was, to me, a lot better than many reviews would have had me believe.

So, was the pizza guy a real pizza guy or an actor...or both?

Here's what the TODAY SHOW reported:

Midway through the show, a pizza deliveryman walked out on stage and presented DeGeneres with boxes of pizza from Big Mama & Papa’s Pizzeria, a small chain in the Los Angeles area that’s a favorite of DeGeneres’ talk show. He was no actor, but a real employee of the restaurant. The shop is known for its Giant Sicilian, which is cut into 200 square slices and serves 50-70 people, although the pizzas delivered onstage were of normal size.

I wonder how much the guy took home in tips.

I hope he at least got the hatfull of money Ellen collected!

He delivered 20 pizzas, but I"m sure he made some money.  They also said on tv tonight that they have been SWAMPED with business
