Well, you've read the notes, the notes were frozen and had gravity, and now it is time for you to post until the frozen cows come home.

Good morning, all.

Awoke WA-A-AY too early, but am feeling fine nonetheless and it's just about time for some coffee ... and the last of the King Cake.

bk, I am wondering if the process of writing the daily notes helps you when you are writing your books. Every author talks about facing "the blank page," but you do this every single day. Just wondering if you feel that forcing yourself to face this challenge every day helps when it comes to your book writing.

When in doubt, combine two popular forms of reality television and create a new hybrid.      :P
This crossed my desk this morning:

The Casting Firm and a Major Cable Network are searching nationwide for choirs to transform on the new series
“FIX MY CHOIR”!
  • Is your choir in trouble?
  • Are finances, a lack of resources, failing instruments or other challenges plaguing your choir?
  • Is conflict between choir members keeping you from becoming great?
  • Is your choir’s vocal ability not coming through because of infighting or lack of practice?
  • Do you worry your choir will fall apart if things don’t improve?
  • Does your choir have a unique or compelling story the world needs to know?
  • A GRAMMY WINNING ARTIST along with a CELEBRATED GOSPEL STAR and team of experts will transform struggling choirs into inspiring musical powerhouses! Seeking choirs with bold, outgoing members who are ready to open their doors and let our experts take their choral program to the next level!

Apply or nominate a choir today! ALL TYPES OF CHOIRS ARE WELCOME (CHURCH, COMMUNITY, SCHOOL, ETC.)

Email CASTINGS@THECASTINGFIRM.COM to apply! Be sure to include photos, a contact number and let us know why your choir needs help!  *Must be 18 or over to apply

    Visit www.thecastingfirm.com/fixmychoir for more info.

Good morning, all!  I am off to Toylnd. I have to pay my accountant for my tax work and send off my 2013 taxes. Following that, Anthony Morelli is stopping by to pick up some work I've asked him to help me with, and i ave to scan the two good reviews and send them to the foundation and to New World Records. On my way home, I have some banking to do.

I couldn't get to sleep again last night, so I'm rather zombie-like at the moment. I need more coffee.

TOD:

I am not much of a fan of space travel movies, but I did enjoy GRAVITY.

Part of the problem, I think, is that movies of this genre usually don't fare well over time.

Why?

Because the fx technology keeps improving and a movie that was considered "ground breaking" 10-20 years ago, unless it has a terrific story or something else to recommend it, looks dated today.

TOD:

DR Jrand63's list inspires me, so...

2001
Forbidden Planet
Robinson Crusoe on Mars
Queen of Outer Space
Alien and Aliens (what the hell)
Gravity
Capricorn One (even though, you know...)

I must also include certain movies relating to real life events such as:

The Right Stuff
Apollo 13

Oh HELL, what am I forgetting?  I do like space and space travel movies.  (But I'm not a Trekkie, so not those...)

The dated-FX type of thing can bother me, too, but usually only for a moment, or when there's no other redeeming feature that enables me to overlook it.

It looks like Audra M. has dropped in on Sweeney, but the story doesn't say if her performances will be filmed. She wasn't in the video of the Patti LuPone-George Hearn version, which was supposed to have starred Terfel. And both are directed by Lonny Price. It's all too complicated.
