And speaking of Queen of Outer Space, I was just chatting with her (Laurie Mitchell, that is) over the weekend. She is such a wonderful gal!

Here she is in Queen of Outer Space with what she refers to as her mush-face:

And her she is some 55 years later, looking lovely as ever!

I will join DR JRand in the birthday rememberance of Miss Allison Hayes!

True fact: Allison Hayes was responsible for my making the acquaintance of DR Jrand prior to ever coming to HHW.

Thanks, DR John G!  The weather looks good for the weekend, so that should help with turnout.  This new location is full of unknowns, though...

I love book sales!  The problem is, I should be holding one of my own, instead of frequenting others and adding to my unwieldy collection.

And also IT! THE TERROR FROM BEYOND SPACE....the movie that "inspired" ALIEN....

IT! features Ann Doran as a crew member who is a navigator....she also performs an autopsy on a dead fellow crew member ("Every bone in his body was crushed, but that's not what killed him..."  And she bakes an apple pie to cheer everyone up.

DR Singdaw, we have people who buy books from us one year and donate them back the next!

I couldn't agree more with bk's assessment of "Frozen", especially the lyrics.

When in doubt, combine two popular forms of reality television and create a new hybrid.      :P
This crossed my desk this morning:

The Casting Firm and a Major Cable Network are searching nationwide for choirs to transform on the new series
“FIX MY CHOIR”!
  • Is your choir in trouble?
  • Are finances, a lack of resources, failing instruments or other challenges plaguing your choir?
  • Is conflict between choir members keeping you from becoming great?
  • Is your choir’s vocal ability not coming through because of infighting or lack of practice?
  • Do you worry your choir will fall apart if things don’t improve?
  • Does your choir have a unique or compelling story the world needs to know?
  • A GRAMMY WINNING ARTIST along with a CELEBRATED GOSPEL STAR and team of experts will transform struggling choirs into inspiring musical powerhouses! Seeking choirs with bold, outgoing members who are ready to open their doors and let our experts take their choral program to the next level!

Apply or nominate a choir today! ALL TYPES OF CHOIRS ARE WELCOME (CHURCH, COMMUNITY, SCHOOL, ETC.)

Email CASTINGS@THECASTINGFIRM.COM to apply! Be sure to include photos, a contact number and let us know why your choir needs help!  *Must be 18 or over to apply

    Visit www.thecastingfirm.com/fixmychoir for more info.

Shakes head.. .Guess anything is possible...
