Vixmom, to answer your question from last night: I used sourdough from the local grocery and it was terrible. San Antonio is a tortilla town, not a bread town. People here seem to hate character in or crusts on their bread. They want everything soft and characterless. So, there was no sour flavor and the bread seemed to fall apart the moment you touched a knife to it. It was sloppy and messy, but it did not get in the way of the cheese or the butter.

I think I'd try to catch that Porgy & Bess, too.

I'm warming up for that role by first playing the Strawberry Woman in Oliver.       :)

Don't worry DR SINGDAW - after all you didn't personally drain the gasoline tank yourself.

Do we detect a very specialized career path in the works?

So, Elmore, what Porter songs are going to be in the medley?

We do.      :)

But my twist is that I'm going to portray them as StrawBEARy Women.          8)

I am often hesitant to order sour dough bread outside of California.

DR Jane - it is an architect's rendering - a proposal.

I'm not sure where it is intended to be built.
But my guess is that it is a retirement home for Olympic divers.

Will there be a CD anthology?  And, someday, a farewell tour?

Speaking of FORBIDDEN BROADWAY...a tour will be playing at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts TONIGHT!  BUT, I won't be able to see it. :'( I have to go to a union meeting.  Tonight was the only night that most people had available.

Oh, well.  There will always be another show...like a week from Sunday:  "Ann Hampton Callaway Sings the Streisand Songbook"!!  I'm signed up to usher for this and I can't wait! :D

Topic of the Day:

In my CD player:  "O. Henry's Full House"/"The Luck of the Irish" (I'm just starting "The Luck of the Irish"), then will be "Jeepers Creepers," then the original Broadway cast recording of "Big Fish."

On April Fool's Day Evening, I will be accompanying [I have no idea what various and sundry things yet] at a high school spring concert.
