I am stunned -- STUNNED, I tell you -- at BK's report of BYE BYE BIRDIE.

Stunned, that they could even get away with presenting the music in the way they did. Can permission actually be obtained for using MOVIE tracks, and including the title song? I was under the impression that was verboten. And how did they come up with the tracks? Could those have been Twilight Time's isolated tracks? Was this just possibly some grand experiment that came with Tams-Witmark's full knowledge and approval?

But who would dream this sh stuff up in the first place? And why? And we're talking Burbank, not some community group in the middle of nowhere. And who in the heart of the great metropolis that is L.A. would not employ a few live musicians? Or Ethel Toffelmier on the piano?

And the scene changes. Oy, Oy, Oy.

Good morning, all! I did not want to get out of bed this morning, so I'm either really really tired ot really really depressed. Either way, it's not good.

Last night I watched 20 Feet From Stardom which was quite wonderful and at times heartbreaking.

I have to make the bed, have some more coffee, and tidy up this place. Then I'll ponder my weekend. I have to get to Toyland and accomplish some things, so I'm going tomorrow, I guess.

I had to read "March" for my book group discussion and felt this was truly written to generate interest from the original books. Had the book not been about Mr. March I am sure I would have thought more of it. The man in this book was not the man I imagined the father of the wonderful March family.

Why would anyone want to sit through "Wicked"? It just opened here for a three-week run and everybody's flocking to it. Ugh. (But I agree with the basis of your question.)
