Forgot to mention thanks to DR George for the description of the concert - sounds like a fantastic evening.

Thankfully, you can now take a hot bath and soak in it for a while.

Hello All:

TOD:

As a young girl i remember a heavy curtain at THE SENECA THEATER in Buffalo.

I guess today it would be considered dated.  Yet,if done the right way with a more lighter fabric, I think I would like it!

I like a curtain at the theatre. I don't think I've ever been to a movie theatre with a curtain.

With plaster still falling from the ceiling, I'm leery about relaxing too much in my bathroom.

I like Theatre Curtains....and I agree with DR DRUXY, it is probably a financial issue.....or DR SINGDAW may also be right that they all want to be IN THE KNOW and OF THE MOMENT.

NOTHING gets older fast than the latest and most up to date ANYTHING.

NEVER have your photograph taken in the latest fad style.....unless you want to be very amused in a very short time.

DR John G. - that guy in the background doesn't look like any bookseller or librarian that I have known.      :)

I wonder if the people who did away with the show/front curtain did so because they thought it was perceived as "old fashioned." And they want their theatre to be oh so now, so with it, so au courant.
Fie on them, I say.

It may be because opening a curtain is an aptitude...and once the really great curtain openers retired/died, the aptitude was seemingly lost.

It takes a sense of timing and a smooth delivery to properly open a curtain.

Perhaps today's backstage crew lacks that capability.

Here's an example of what I hate: when I first posted the CD cover for DEAREST ENEMY last September on Facebook, a producer in San Francisco commented on my post: "very excited for this."  Well. it's six months later, and the jerk still hasn't made any comment to me about it. He may hate it, and that's fine, but for someone who was very excited, he sure cooled down fast.

Monday afternoon greetings!  After a night of insomnia (worrying about Mom), I slept in until I had to hustle to make my 11am appointment with the new cardiologist.  It was just a follow-up after he changed some meds last month and I don't have to go back for 3 months.

I can attest to that Sing Sing. I've seen his bathroom. It was elegance defined.

It's my photo on the wall that makes it so elegant...

Thanks for the Mom vibes.  I suspect she's stewing about my being gone for a week soon, among other things.

I'm up, I'm up - I was up at six, went back to bed and fell asleep around seven-thirty.  Very groggy but work session begins in fifteen minutes so I'd best degroggify.
