Hello, everyone.

I enjoyed the Palmer family photos. And, yes, Ginny, the dress was an excellent choice. Glad we were able to see you wearing it.

A Royal Selfie:

What fun to see a "down home" pic of the royal family! I like the corgis on the back of the Queen's phone. Is the woman at the far right Kate's mum?

A question for DR Chas or Jane or any other DR who has lived in many areas: Do you ever forget where you are? When I'm reading posts or the NYT or just odd times during the day I sometimes think I'm still living in the East and have to remind myself that I'm back in LA. Do other people do this, too?

I'm up - once again the thoughtless neighbors were out there at nine with whoever's baby it is - Cole seems to be the name of it.  And again, they were out there just long enough to wake me up and keep me up for ten minutes, after which, as always, they disappear never to be heard from again.

I have some neighbors in the next building who go out on their balcony many evenings for a little party. They aren't out there long, maybe 20 minutes, but at midnight or 1 am it isn't appreciated by the likes of me. One of the women has a shrill, annoying voice. Ugh!

Just one more on the way to page 3:

I love chatter in the evening
I love chatter late at night
I love chatter that's at lunch time when it's sunny
I love chatter over dinner when it's funny

I love chatter in the morning
Every morning of the year
I love chatter, I tell you, Cole, that I love chatter
But please don't chat right here

Very cute.

Bruce I had no idea fans weren't happy with season 3 of SHERLOCK.  We are extremely pleased and agree with your comments on how the 2nd episode unraveled.

I'm a SHERLOCK fan who's been a bit disappointed in season 3. The show is so clever, IMO, and I can see where it'd be tough to keep it up.  It'll be interesting to see what they do with season 4.

Well, the snow is back, albeit wet snow that doesn't stick.

Kevin, what's happening with the cherry blossoms? Is it too cold for blossoms?

Sorry, Ginny!

Yeah, thanks, DR TCB.  As I told Richard, if they'd been playing anyone else I'd have been for Kentucky.  Guess I'll keep my loyalty to the Big Ten and be for Wisconsin next weekend.

DR Jane  Six books does not seem like enough. Is there a limit on how many ebooks you can have out at once? I guess they feel like if you put holds on too many books then too many will come in at once. But the six only includes ebooks that your library already has and not books that have not come out yet?

Once an ebook becomes available do you immediately put holds on new ebooks?

Having moved from Michigan to Connecticut and back to Michigan the rabbi asked Craig, during his Bar Mitzvah, if Craig knew what state he was in. ;D

I can't recall exactly forgetting what state I was in.  You lived in one area a very long time.  I can imagine that happening if we left Oregon after being here so long.  I can still tell you where something was located several homes back yet have no idea where the item is here or sometimes if I still own it.  That rarely happens anymore but it was always a big problem moving around.  I still miss various stores in particular areas we lived in or being able to go someplace.

What you are describing is kind of like traveling when you forget what bed you are sleeping in and have to think about where you are.  I'm sure I did that in the beginning of moves and had to think about where I was.

Isn't it too early for the cherry blossoms?

If there is a limit on the number of books I can check out I haven't reached it.  There isn't a limit on the number in my wish list and often books there become available.  My wish list is very long now.

I don't always rush to fill in the empty spot on the hold wish unless I am anxiously waiting to add something to it.

However having been born about 9 miles from here, and having lived in the same town since  1966 (this is my 4th home in the same town) I generally know where I am ,  I may not know WHO I am and where my stuff is, but I know where I am

I went to high school with Andrea.  She was a cheerleader and graduated a year before I did.   Pretty wild

Oh my, you must be very proud of your schoolmate.

LOL, she is a dog breeder of King Charles Spaniels....

Well, one gender of dog did come to mind.

Back from a presentation of some Doris Day tribute show that's going on Crystal Cruise Line in a couple of months.  The performer was at sea, due to lack of preparation (and why do this kind of evening if you're not prepared), but that wasn't the problem - bad title, bad structure, too much patter that's never in the right place and which has a LOT of repetition.
