Well, you've read the notes, you met the notes and greeted the notes, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they also had a MOOt and GROOt.

Tonightlast night Tuesday night was our only rehearsal this week.  It is Spring Vacation for Tacoma schools, so the director decided there were just too many conflicts to try and schedule any other rehearsals.

So I have decided to make tomorrow. today  Wednesday as "me" day!  I will attend the Old Actors lunch (although I don't like the restaurant) and then come home and watch the Blu Ray of "Raise the Titanic."

Good morning, all.

Got my first full night's solid sleep in three days.  Still feel tired, but that shall improve through the day.  A li'l nap at some point will probably be just the ticket.
For now...

Coffee!

I wonder if the president of Paypal is still in bed.

Because you know what we all should do, right?  Gather outside HIS window and LET HIM HAVE IT.

So, what's in store for today?

Perhaps a little start on some outdoors cleanup.  Pick up some debris from winter storms, that kind of thing.  We've got us a few beautiful days here this week, so it'll just feel good to be outdoors doing something.  And this is probably my day to document the last of the snow with some photographic evidence.  I do that almost every year just for some perverted kind of sentimentality's sake -- take a couple of pictures of the last hangers-on.  If I do, I promise to post it because I know you're all anxious to see just what the HELL I'm talking about.

And I will most certainly be spending some more time with THE MOST HAPPY FELLA, because tomorrow's the day we have our LI'L HHW GET-TOGETHER at Brooklyn Diner and City Center, and I myself want to be one happy fella as I'm stuffing my pie-hole with wonderful foodstuffs and my ear-holes with thrilling sounds.

Speaking of which (pie-holes), how about that House of Pies pancake report from BK, eh?  Them is some pretty strong words.

Is it safe to presume (I don't want to say assume, because we all know what "ass"-ume is, right?) we'll be reading the report from a follow-up investigation within, say, 48 hours?

If i may suggest that you listen to two cuts from a album BK Produced  Anywhere I Wander: Liz Callaway Sing Frank Loesser. She sings two smashing versions of "Joey Joey Joey" and "My Heart Is So Full Of You" both Beautifully orchestrated by Larry Moore and music directed by Alex Rybeck. The latter is my favorite version of the song especially for the instrumental piano break. Beautifully done by everyone involved.

Wednesday morning greetings!  I finally managed not to wake up before 7am, as I've done every morning we've been away.  Maybe it helped to drink wine right before bed...

ask bk

In the early 60's (I Think) Frank Sinatra had something like the Reprise Record Rep Company and they recorded several musicals Finian's Rainbow, Guys and Dolls, Kiss Me Kate, South Pacific.

Your opinion on them please.

Good morning, all! I lazily slept in and I am off to physical therapy very shortly. I've got so much work to get to in the next few days, and my first free day this week is Friday. I believe I'll be stuck at my desk all weekend. There are worse places to be.

We used to have House of Pies restaurants here (a few decades ago now).  Please tell them to come back here.  Thank you.

Ask BK:

Did the House of Pies chain have food other than pies back in the day?  I want to say yes, but I'm not sure.  My main one was Hollywood Blvd. & Whitley, and as many times as I was in there, I can't recall anything I had except for the pies.

I know the one you're eating at is quite a different scene, menu-wise, from the chain as I knew it, but I remember it fondly and I'm so happy they saved it from annihilation.

It wasn't meant to be funny. That is the term that they used. Sure, they knew handkerchief, but they didn't use the term.

Good morning. Today is dedicated to getting an oil change. I hope it doesn't take all day. And that they don't find anything else that needs to be done.
