Playbill Quiz: Over a Dozen Divas Sing "I'm Still Here"; Can You Name Them All?

I can recognize 10 of the 14.  I don't know who 2, 4, 10 and 11 are.  Do you??

Here's a hint...the first one is Yvonne DeCarlo.  :)

I even had to skip "Resurrection" tonight.

I hope you were able to record it...there were some interesting developments.

No, I have no way to record shows.  I still live in the 20th century.

Fortunately I never had to deal with a full blown temper tantrum in a public place where I had to pick up a child and leave.  I did have to deal with one in Toys R Us.  Keith was embarrassed and left me to deal with it ;D  I did not give in and I did not coddle.  I felt really good when an older gentleman walked up and complimented how I handled it.   It is extremely difficult to not give in to shut the kid up when people are staring at you.

Children who grow up not getting away with that kind of behavior begin to notice when their piers act up and will criticize their friends and the parent's, at least mine did as we walked away. :)

DR Ginny if you lived in Los Angeles you would not have waited to take Rob to Disneyland.  Our children were angels there.

I have received a couple of communications, and so I expect to see at least three very good GUY possibilities tonight....plus some surprises.

But as I tell the people before we get started....  You came here because you want to be in the show, and I want you to be in the show....so let's see what happens!

I am off.

I wish i could have seen THE MOST HAPPY FELLA AT City Center.  I was only ever in the lobby, never saw a show there.  Also, it would have been wonderful to see Cheyenne, of course, but it would have given me a chance to see if Bradley Dean is as handsome as his resume photo.

DR ELMORE....they thought Rooney would make it all about Rooney...and then they got Eddie Bracken.....poking around in the same barrel in my opinion.

In one particular interview Bracken said that a lot of his scenes were cut out of SUMMER STOCK and THE MIRACLE OF MORGAN'S CREEK because he was "too funny" in them......

Too funny.  Really?  I would like to have seen those clips.  They would have been a first for Mr. Bracken.

TOD:

I don't have any children.....so I won't respond except to say I agree with what has already been written here today.

That article is such B.S.  That is one reason why I hate computers and blogs.  Everyone thinks he/she is an expert in something and thinks that because he/she thinks it, it should be shared with the world....

There are some people who have WRONG-HEADED ideas....

Boy, I certainly agree with you on that!

Happy Monday, all!

I'm counting this as my first day off from everything, since I left for Philly a couple of week ago. But the madness was capped off perfectly by last night's wonderfully fun Kritzerland show.  Everything about it was tops!

And I have to thank BK once again for giving me the most deliciously funny material to sing. I can't tell you, BK, how many people raved about the Sweeney "What If" after the show. And of course, the Mr. Carp number has been a favorite of mine for a long time, but one I'd never gotten to sing until now.

So, if all goes well today, I may just impersonate a stalk of broccoli. Or maybe a cumquat. Or in BK's terms, so much fish.

Have a wonderful start to the week everyone.  :D

But isn't a cumquat a fruit?

Ah thank you DR ELMORE.  Perhaps all of his scenes really were "too funny" to be in the film.

Then, again, DR JRand63, maybe he had developed some humility. He was very good in SHOW BOAT, and I liked working with him.  The Huston experience was so unpleasant that the actors, who were unaware of all the backstage ugliness, were such a relief.

I had a friend who worked with Bracken on the Sugar Babies tour and had a similar experience to yours, Larry. She spoke very highly of Bracken.

No, I have no way to record shows.  I still live in the 20th century.

It was a good century, despite all the wars, bombings, holocausts and general mayhem. Perhaps that's why I remain there a large part of the time myself.

It is currently 56F. And you would laugh if you saw what people were wearing outside.

I wore shoes for the first time this year outside.

There are people wearing t-shirts. Because this temp feels so unbelievably warm. The crazy thing is that there are still piles of snow everywhere. I looked at the bike path. It is clear. But beside it are boulders of snow. Basically the path is clear but all around it is packed with snow. Should be weird.

Boulders of snow?  I would hate to be outside in one of your snow storms!

Had a good set design meeting - we made one slight adjustment to a stair unit and it's locked now.  Then I went to House of Pies and had a short stack and eggs benedict, then came right home where I toiled over an edit road map for a couple of hours and got it all done and off to the mastering guy.

Yes.  I haven't heard that Chris Colfer is off the show, so I would assume that Kurt survives.

Two is Ann Miller. Four is Elaine Paige, if I counted correctly. Missed others. Sounded like Ms. Kitt was in there twice.

Thanks...and I finally figured out #10.  So, only 11 is left (for me).
