Good late morning, all.

Didn't sleep in or anything, but I've got a blessed free day and have just been lazing around.

I've never been to a lunchtime concert in NYC, so I'm thinking how nice it could be to take in one of those at Trinity.

OK, the hand is pouring, and I quote, "maple bourbon gravy on a slice of his Fried Chicken, Waffle, Bacon and Brussel Sprout pizza." I think I could get behind that.

Here are a few of my guys and dolls.  The man in the blue jacket is Scott who is playing Nathan Detroit....his son Craig is sitting beside him.....Craing is playing Benny Southstreet.  Blonde girl to father's right is the twin of Craig, her name is Sarah and she is playing Sarah.  When I first directed GUYS & DOLLS in 1992, Scott played....Benny Southstreet!  :D

I don't eat anything while reading paper books.

I will occasionally have a snack while reading on my kindle.

DR JRand - nice cast picture!  Scott and Craig look a lot alike.

Disgruntled.

That's my mood today.

Sometimes I fear retirement will never present itself.

On the plus side:

Someone on our events committee hatched an idea that we should have a Pizza for Lunch day as a fund raiser.  One slice of pizza is $3.  One slice of pizza with salad and a soda is $7.  A whole 12-slice pizza is $30.

On the negative side:

They are buying the pizzas from CostCo where the 12-slice pizza costs $9.99.  They are anticipating HUGE profits, from what I gather.

On the "me" side:  I ain't buyin' into it!

Anybody have the recordings yet of "Bridges of Madison County" and "Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder"? Thoughts?

Rock-a-bye your baby to a Dixie melody
When you croon, croon a tune from the heart of Dixie
Just place that cradle, mammy mine
 Right on that Mason-Dixon Line
And swing it from Virginia to Tennessee
With all the love that's in ya

The venue and security charge is for the room itself and goes to the club rather than Sterling or me.

Apparently the Kindle version won't be up for another two to four weeks, so just read the real book - more fun that way anyway.

DR JRand - nice cast picture!  Scott and Craig look a lot alike.

Yes DR GINNY, they do.  He is THE dentist to see in Cloverdale, and we have done many shows together.  Craig and Sarah and their younger sister Deborah are all now grown up and married...and it's hard to imagine!

Craig played one of my sons in CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN and Michael in PETER PAN.

Sarah is married to Dustin who is playing Sky....so I've got a great dedicated group.
