Okay, that's the second consecutive page I've started without even noticing we were at a page turn.

I'd better run out and buy some lotto tickets!

One year ago today, we lost Miss Annette Funicello.

Here is a picture of her with Mr Richard and Mr Robert Sherman

Just off the phone with Richard Sherman.  We've been getting such wonderful response to our little song that we're thinking about going into the studio to record it - he on piano, Guy Haines singing.  Sandy is recording it, too, this summer, but we thought it would be fun to have us doing it, too - just plain and simple.

And then dear reader Ron Pulliam had written and suggested we do sheet music and I loved that idea, so that's in the works - we can sell it at Kritzerland, our shows, and other online places - we could even have a special version signed by Richard and I.  What do you think?

VIBES and XYLOPHONES for all things KRITZERLAND.

And a most excellent double dosage.

I'd get a copy of the sheet music and I don't even have a piano anymore. (And you certainly wouldn't want to hear me sing.)

I would like to have a copy of the sheet music!  It's such a fun song!  And I have already written who I think should sing it....

I LOVE eating while reading (or is it reading while eating??), and have done so ever since school years, but I'd never attempt it with any kind of book or other material that's collectible or which for any reason shouldn't be exposed to possible abuse.  I used to try, on occasion, to maintain impeccable control of a book with one hand while eating with the other, but long since gave it up.  It's just not worth the aggravation and distraction, and neither the reading nor the eating is properly served.

I actually do it very little at all now, for two easily identifiable (by me) reasons:  (1) With my (ahem) "over-40" eyesight, i.e. needing reading glasses, it's just not as easy to sit at a desk or table or a counter or what have you, and try to see the printed material clearly by tilting my head to find the best angle for focusing on the print -- all the while trying to eat.  And if I'm wearing contacts (distance in left eye, close-up in the right), that presents its own weirdness in that situation.  (2) This has always worked better when reading a magazine or newspaper as opposed to a book, anyway (except when it comes to a book I can totally abuse to get the son-of- it to lay flat), and unfortunately, with newspapers having been reduced to what they are now, I rarely even buy one, and the few magazines I'm ever compelled to buy are, again, items I don't want exposed to stains and spillage and being battered around.

More than you wanted to know, probably, and no one even asked my opinion on the matter...   :)

Anybody have the recordings yet of "Bridges of Madison County" and "Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder"? Thoughts?

The latter I have listened to bits of on Spotify and enjoyed it. It reminds me of Drood for some reason.

The former is not available digitally until April 15.

But wait, there's more!    :)

I also love eating while watching movies or pretty much anything I'm looking at on the TV.  That, unfortunately, becomes a compulsion if you get into the habit of doing it, and I've had to deliberately pull myself back from "needing" it all the time.

Now here's a fairly trivial matter (in relation to life, the universe, and everything) that maybe somebody knows the answer to:

On this board, old-fashioned punctuation emoticons are converted and displayed as actual smileys.  And that's fine.  Where it turns weird is when you deliberately type some punctuation that you mean to be seen as just that, and it converts it into a wholly unexpected graphic.

For instance, I just sent someone a private message (oh yes, a very private message indeed) in which I ended a question with four question marks.  The software converted that to one single question mark running right up against a "huh" face, changing the tone and making it look like I'm an idiot at a keyboard.  Well, actually, I probably am an idiot at a keyboard.  But I digress...

I can't find a way to tell it not to do that.  Anyone know?

Does a mouthful of onions help the medicine go down?

That's what I want to know.

DR ChasSmith - try the "preview" option. And a tastefully inserted space, here and there.

Good idea.  I do preview posts if they get long or elaborate, but haven't thought of doing so when jotting off a note.
