Great photos in the notes today from the signing. Glad it went well and vibes for the next one.

And now it's back to the paper. I slept late this morning and really need to get the suggested corrections worked on.

I have to get ready soon to go down to New Haven for a friend's uncle's surprise 90th birthday party at some restaurant, which should be a lot of fun.

DR John G, that's good news! Does your nephew want to be a professional musician?

That sounds like a nice evening of entertainment DR SINGDAW!

Congrats to DR CILLA LIZ on her millstone.  I am sorry she won't be seeing WAR HORSE, I was looking forward to her comments on it.

Thanks JRand.  I was totally exhausted after everything I had going on the past two weeks.  Today is rainy and wintry mixy and windy and snow is falling now and then.  I slept for nearly 10 hours last night and am very happy to be home with the cats getting my laundry done

I gave in yesterday and bought some clothes in the size I swore I'd never wear....whew! they are really comfortable and it was freeing to just admit I'm that big right now and be more comfortable.  I am slowly starting to exercise, which is what I need to do, but it's silly to be uncomfortable in the mean time.

I did discover something interesting, they have changed the sizing a bit. The numerical size that used to be L is now associated with XL.  and on up the line. I've seen this at two different stores.  I mentioned it at Coldwater Creek and was told they did that last year, just ignore the numbers.  Hmmm.  So you could not change at all in size or shape but you're now wearing a bigger size.   I think it's a vast governmental conspiracy to make us all lose weight and exercise

My taxes were filed last week and the money should come out of my account tomorrow. It was a relief to get that done.

Happy Sunday, all!

I am so glad I made even half of the book signing. I had an earlier rehearsal yesterday for a staged reading that I am doing on May 6th, a work session that I barely escaped from in time to make it to Glendale. The rehearsal is for a staged reading of a new musical about Puritans and vampires on the Mayflower. Uh huh.  You do the math.

At the moment we're slogging through group numbers. I've not heard my two solos yet. I suppose as long as they're not a reworked version of "I Gotta Crow" from Peter Pan, with lyrics like "I gotta bite"... I think I'll be okay. Oh, the things we do for $1.98.

I am also soon doing a table read of another new musical based on a movie called "The Boynton Beach Club", which no one saw. The film starred Dyan Cannon and Michael Nouri. So far, I've not seen a script and only heard a couple of songs. But the table read cast includes Valerie Perri, Mary Gordon Murray, Barry Pearl and Lainie Kazan. Go figure. Valerie and I will be Dyan and Michael.

Meantime, I am looking forward to stealing some time to read my wonderfully signed copy of "Red Gold"!!  Thanks so much, BK!!

Have a wonderful day all. I'm off to grow fangs, even though they'll be a pain in the ass to sing with.   :D

I'm up and have been up since nine-thirty.  Once again, I got very little sleep thanks to a horrible allergy attack just after I got in bed.  Yes, I'd stupidly forgotten to take an allergy pill, so I did, but it took over an hour to kick in.

My IRMA work is finished for the nonce. Tomorrow, because I'm stuck here, Joshie is bringing me the Big Ballet and the title song. I will give him the work I've finished.

Today is Liz Callaway's birthday.

Or a band teacher. I don't know that he knows at this point.

DR Mike - my understanding is that these are Sondheim songs "re-composed" by various contemporary artists. I don't know exactly what that means, or what to expect. I imagine it will be more fun for me, knowing the original songs, than for someone who doesn't.
