Well, you've read the notes, the notes had choreography, and now it is time for you to post until the choreographed cows come home.

Today is Saturday.  It is a work day.  Oh well.  My nephew Danny is going on a kayak trip down the river somewhere in Ohio, so I get to work with my sister Molly today!

Which is a good thing.  I don't think we've worked a day together for awhile.

There is something wrong between the modem and the router and the computer in the living room.  I disconnected everything and now the modem connection is directly into my computer.  Maybe I can figure it out tomorrow.

TOD:

7th Grade Spring Dance. It was most enjoyable. I also ran the record player, so I got to pick most of the tunes.

And the word of the day is: AGNIZE!

That was a enjoyable tv series with Donna Pescow, Robert Hayes and Doris Roberts.

Let the time flow; Let the love grow
Let the rain shower; Let the rose flower
Love, it seeks; Love, it finds
Love, it conquers; Love, it binds

We come to each other from different worlds
Drawn to each other by the love inside of us
We give to each other our different worlds
Long as we can do it
Life, we're gonna breeze right through it
Let the time flow; Let the love grow
Let the rain shower; Let the rose flower
Love, it seeks; Love, it finds
Love, it conquers; Love, it binds
Love, it seeks and Love, it finds
Love, it conquers
Love, it binds-ahhhhhh
Love, it seeks; Love, it finds
Love, it conquers; Love, it binds

Good morning, all! I will very shortly hop into a taxi and head to Toyland. I've got a lot of items to cart there and so the taxi will be good.  After that, I'll head to my pharmacy for a prescription for the nightly pains in my legs.

When I get home, I'll see what new fresh hell has turned up.

Good morning, all.

Slept fine till early morning when one of the most ridiculous dreams yet started up.  I woke up once, went back to sleep, and I seemed to be able to change the setting a couple of times, but the overall gist of the dream persisted.  It was, finally, a relief to just get the hell up.

Coffee!

I don't remember the time of year or the occasion, but I, too, was in the seventh grade and the dance was held in the school courtyard.  The event is memorable for being when I was introduced to the Twist, and I sort of tried but was utterly incapable of moving the right way.  I later bought sheet music to one or two of the Chubby Checker songs (I remember Peppermint Twist being one of the titles), and found that playing those simplistic arrangements on the piano was no less humiliating than trying to dance it.

I love the LI'L ABNER notes, and the only reason I'm not asking questions is BK's need to speak in general terms for the nonce.  And with a month to go, it's going to be a long nonce.  But it's great to hear about the progress even in those general terms, and I truly wish I could be there to witness it.

I'll just ask:  BK, does LACC (or perhaps you yourself) tape these productions for posterity?  If it's not a regular thing, do you have any intention?

(Please, please, please, please, please...)

I said "tape", but what is the term these days?  We don't "tape" things any more, and we certainly don't "film" them.  We could say "record", but that would be too easily taken to mean only audio.

My guess is it's still the accepted term.

Don't forget:

RECORD STORE DAY.

Drop into your local vinyl emporium for five minutes.  They'll appreciate it.  Unless it's a truly unappealing jernt catering ONLY to kids, you will, too.  And I suspect jernts that extreme are few and far between.

And with that, I must be off.

I've got a busy day, in which I will be out and about, here and there, and hither and yon.  Between all of those, I haven't a chance of going near a computer, so I will look forward to enjoying a nice helping of ketchup this evening.

Greetings from Toyland!

I had a bit of a problem logging onto the internet this morning, but I rebooted the modem and we are in business.

Saturday morning greetings!  Fr. Richard has been called to the hospital bedside of a parishioner who had emergency surgery last night.  Vibes & prayers for Mr. B would be appreciated.

TOD:

Senior prom 1980.

I was the only guy in white tie and tails. The rest were in powdered blue and other pastel colors. Blech. The band knew only one slow song, so we had "Once, Twice, Three Times a Lady" played more than three times. They were far better versed in other classics of the day: "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?" and "Play that Funky Music, White Boy."
